Still for me it is Operation Flashpoint. Ok, not the best graphics but a huge playing field an it lets you decide your own solution to reach the target.
Also realistic, a fatal hit? Then you're dead. Also a huge community with expansions, campaigns weapons and so on.

Call of Duty: UO
I still play it incessantly.
Unreal and Quake. Maybe because those are the only ones i play regularly.

Halo 2 was overrated
Goldeneye for N64! That game was revolutionary and had great multiplayer.
I'm more of a console guy, so I liked Brothers in Arms, Call of Duty and Timesplitters. On PC, BF2 was definitely a favourite
Half Life 2 (and dod source) and Far Cry!! not to forget Battlefield 2. Don't like fps games on console they suck :P
COD is the best. half-life good too
