Its mainly because people on indietorrents tend to like good music.

On a slightly more helpful note, you could signup then apply to the indietorrents ftp server which has every torrent ever upped to the site, hence there will be more hip hop on it.

I like some of the older and underground stuff nowadays...Its just that when most people think of rap they think of Lil' Jon and therein lies the problem of people's perceptions of the genre.
