Can you advise please.
for the last two days I have not been able to login or even load FST.
Today I'm using a proxy server to gain access and it's still very slow to load.
I'm using IE7, I've just tried FFox but still a no go.
My IP starts with 172. is this in Block at all?
will give full info (ipconfig /all) via PM if requested

Looking into this now...
Loading very well at the moment without the use of the proxy server.

This page took 35 seconds to load, the reply box took 29 seconds to load, I don't even bother with quick reply any more, it justs hangs.
This place has been shockingly slow for weeks now, just look in the Drawing Room, the place has almost dried up, it just isn't worth hanging around waiting to post, some days it's just 'Server Busy' notices.

Are you using a blocking system for proxy IPs due to server abuse?
The trouble is a lot of members are on a proxy ISP with no choice.
Even when I change my ISP on the 11th of this month it's not going to be a static IP :no:, so I may still have the same problem with connection, if that IP range has been blocked by the system.
It's a bit of a problem for all,
Server Abuse is a big issue :yes:
But if members can't gain access, then what's the point :unsure:

All I ask is, why am I being Blocked from FST.
I'm on a new ISP, Today I got in ok, but now I'm blocked again.
The only way I can get in is via proxy servers.
If you don't want my on FST then do the right thing, send me a PM or just bann me!

What kind of message do you get? Does it say (in a fst-style page) that you've been IP banned or what?
Hes been locked from the site as his connection is showing multiple hits in short time frames. This is the same thing that happened before. Think his pc was infected at that time and acting strangly. Though not sure whats going on this time. When the servers notes this type of activity your locked from the site. This block will be released after a time frame but if your connection does the same youll be locked again. This has nothing to do with any Staff locking you as its an automated thing...
It was blatantly obvious that I was being blocked again and for no reason.
The multiple hits from my ip to the FST server is bullshit.
I know what's going on and you do as well yet you are not willing to do anything about it, it makes me wonder what hold this person has on FST.

I run two servers, do you think I would let myself be compromised, not at all, there is nothing wrong with my computer, it's running fine, I’ve been working on computers for 6 years, I think I would know if I had a problem.
When I post, my IP should be on show to certain staff not all, and access to certain parts of the admin panel should also be blocked to certain staff as well.
If no other member is having problems then it's obvious I’m a target.
All things I do on FST when accessing is normal, just like any member.
I'm not going to keep off as I'm not giving in, I just wish you would catch the member of staff that's doing it and do like I said before in the report section, Bann them.

No member of staff has the kind of access to block you from the site (server level) except for me and reality, as we could just PM a server technician. Rookie also could, technically, but he doesn't know who you are so why would he target you.Quote:

It must be somethig to do with your computer or connection. If you make too many connections at once the server IP bans you automatically (nothing we can do about it...sometimes even I get banned and cant do anythig but change my ip if I do certain things in the admincp which reload the page really rapidly.

you can have my word of honor, I would never tamper with the FST server,
I have no reason or gain, I'm a good person & I hope a good member.
I use IE7 :unsure: and that's it.
I have nothing wrong with my PC, no way,
Like I said I run two servers, one in IRL and the other in the USA,
no way could I allow myself to be compromised, I would get shut down as they are shared servers, My computer has been fully tested 100%,
online & offline.
As for the plugin's :no: I just don't use.
I keep my main PC very basic as I need it for my work.
Tonight I'm in ok as I'm on a new ISP again. (non redten)

When we spoke you showed me screens of what happened when you came to the site. Those were some strange screens. They looked like an infected computer or major issues. If I recall you mentioned not having av but added it and then mentioned all was sorted.Quote:

As rossco mentioned hes had this problem as Ive had it also. The settings are set to allow you back in time if you are blocked. Though when you get back in if your pace repeats the server will lock you out again.
Maybe wait and log back in from a different pc for a couple days and note if you get the same locks. If not the pc your on is the issue though if your locked again we could look into it more at that point...

Wow, crap. I'm having the same problem, too. Except I don't get the error message...I just get the typical "No Page to Display" thingy from IE7. It never even tries to load (currently on a proxy), I guess I hit the refresh too much? I was rapidly answering the email reply update thingys, but I've done that before with no problem.

I also get the problem, either with a refuses connection msg or timeout. For some odd reason this just happens when I'm at work and there is a difference between the two networks we use. Don't matter what browser I use.
Never got this problem @ home except when the site really IS down.
The weird thing is that I does not happen with any other site I use. Only this one.
It's been terrible.this morning..the board seems to have gone mad..I made one post and then I look back and there are 6 of the same.
Perhaps a good time to consider professional hosting; in the Netherlands?
..although I would miss these nolstalgic moments.
I have also had some strange messages, "you are not allowed to view this or that forum"
sixtuple posts due to the server problems and lags...
