One of the reasons i traded my sct is you gotta literally sit on your computer all day and compete with ultra nerds with their BT seedbox.
@ r4cc00n, I care because I'm a speed demon :devil: and also I don't want to risk losing accounts due to difficulty in seeding because of low speeds. I assume fast speeds means faster uploads too of course... Thanks for the reponses guys! :D

Ft.N for pretimes and ScT for speed. sure, you'll see a rls pop up on Ft.N first but you'll definitely finish downloading it faster on ScT.

SCT is the fastest becouse most of the peopel there have 100Mbit connection..
after 10 minutes a new torrent gets 10+ seeders.
FTN is still great with freebies. They are very strict on hit and run with those torrents though. I know a guy who has a seedbox, h&r and got banned instantly.
If you have a seedbox with 100mbit or something i'd go with sct, 10mbit and lower I'd go with ftn. If you dont have a super fast connection your ratio will never survive.
I max out at 1mbit..... :(.

but for TV bitmeTV is definately the place to go.

ScT generally has better speeds. Not just the fact because of all the people with the seedboxes, but really having 3x as many people helps too. FTN has better pretimes but ScT has the better selection of TV torrents.
On an unrelated note, in Bitmetv it's strictly TV and I usually max out my connection, it has 25000 users and it's not that hard to keep a ratio. :D
this is very true. it's funny 'cos when a new popular TV show like Lost gets pre'd, Ft.N will almost always have it first followed by CT and maybe even ST and then ScT a few seconds later -BUT- after about 10mins. ScT has over 50seeders on it and only 5 or 6 ot Ft.N, CT, etc.Quote:

Yea, on a side note, it's amazing how consistently good CT's pre times are, they usually beat FTN as well. If only they could improve their speeds, they would be one of the top two or three trackers, if not the best. They're seriously underrated as it is.

Yeah I second the CT comment. It's really a nice tracker--if they managed to get some seedboxers in there, and speed went up imo it'd be better than sct.
(note: i have only used an sct account once, while my friend who had a seedbox was away on break, but uploaded 50 gigs and told me i could download 50 lol. i would still really like a freebie sct invite :-D. anyone out there? bueller? bueller?)

Well, with all the free torrents at ftn (all propers/repacks and all releases uploaded more than a certain amount of time are free) i think it's easier to keep a good ratio at ftn... i think the pres on tv are about the same, but ftn is way faster on movies and games. you can easily complete a torrent at ftn and then help seed at sct when it gets uploaded there. ;)
ftn is better if you have a slow connection ( with free torrents and stuff)
