Maybe because the user can recover password via email and log in and take back the account?

This is to avoid banning from the site because of mail changing.

but why would you put "+ mail"

you're not understanding my question, it's not like you have to use the email to log in, only for recovering pass

and to recover password, well you you can see your email once you log into the friggin account, also, to the dude who posted "so user can't steal account" wtf are you saying, the original can still steal the user acc since the email can't be changed

In simple terms, the original owner of the traded account could recover the account back to themselves once they had made the trade, since they still own the email address.

The new owner could find himself without the account or the goodies he offered as the trade. The only way to ensure that the original owner does not recover the site is if he is prepared to hand over the email account along with the torrent account, therefore blocking any chance of a recovery.
