To be fair, and to give Kazaa users ample opportunity to spam the BitTorrent forum, like many aspiring BitTorrent traders do on the Kazaa forum, I thought a topic like this, here, at it's place...
Well tell me what do you prefer? If necessary, I could create a poll :)
Bittorrent= Not many bug/viruses on private trackers.
Kazaa=No comment.
BitTorrent=the heaven of filesharing
Kazza=spyware

Bittorrent for sure. I however use LimeWire Pro or Newsgroups for music
Bittorrent, no question about it. Faster and compared to Kazaa more "secure" and reliable.
This is just a measure to keep people sharing their files instead of "hit & run", I guess it can be considered as a downside, although IMHO, it actually promotes the whole idea of sharing which makes Bittorrent so great.Quote:

Bittorrent. KaZaA is bullshit. Too much viruses, spyware, fake files, and it's none rar + it's slow.
I stopped using Kazaa the moment i found out that my 8 yr old cousin could use it.

Seriously? My babysitting kids were all like "OOH MM GEE KAZAA IS SO RAWKIN'!!!!1!11!"... and they (were) 10-12.
From then on, it's BitTorrent all the way.
Bittorrent all the way, speeds are 100x+ faster, since you download off one guy in kazaa who's sharing with tons of other people.
And come on, the communities at some torrent sites are awesome
I think KaZaa is dead for all practical purposes, and speeds there are crap. Besides, there are so many searchable non-private trackers out there that it's not that hard to grab whatever you're looking for.
Having said that, though, I kind of miss Kazaa's ability to search for a single mp3 file. With BitTorrent you need to download the whole album (as soon as it's out, cause later you won't find that much indexed music).

Any music ive ever seen as a scene release has always been in mp3 format.
Which would make it possible to dl just the one you like.
Its ussually movies and games ect... that are in rar format.
