Guys,
Is it possible to download a torrent from one tracker and use it to help seed an identical torrent on another to improve my ratio? If so, can someone point me to some instructions.
This other tracker is really hard to keep my ratio at the required level. I can't upload until I have reached a specific amount of gb.

Download the file from public trackers and download the torrent from your tracker that is difficult to seed, add the torrent and save it where the file is. But, remove the torrent from the public tracker.
Its a way.

Ahh, I never even thought about downloading from public trackers :pinch:. I've been downloading from one private tracker and then seeding on others, which works as well.

Download something that people are always downloading. The original Star Wars trilogy and the Band of Brothers box set have been a huge cash-cow for me on TL for some time now. :)Quote:

I just select 1 .rar file from that DVD or game torrent (which is usually about 47 MB average), download it, then seed it...
Why download just 1 .rar file and not the whole torrent? Well, I don't really have a fast upload speed. I just let it upload for 32 kBps max and it ends up uploading to leechers for an average of 2-3 GB a day... If you add that up, that's about 20 GB of upload in a one week...
But if you have a really fast upload speed, then obviously just download the whole shit and seed it.

That's a definate no-no in my book. Almost always there are a few tv shows to boost at BitmeTV every night. I would get 2-3 from somewhere you can seed back easily (TL) and has decent pres or where you have a buffer that you could use and then seed ALL of those shows at TV.
I definately wouldn't upload on 1 torrent max. You're upload will die fairly quickly.
I only leave it at one upload on very popular torrents and only leave it for as long as I am maxing out on it, so I do have to monitor it. I always seed back very quickly that way and always get a good ratio.
Your method sounds good too, what do you have to do unpack it and you can leave it in the same folder or you have to create a new folder - due to most sites using rar's?
