looking for a good public tracker torrent site

does anyone know of a good public tracker torrent site thay has good speed on downloads

I wouldn't suggest any public trackers, they are insecure and usually don't have good speeds. If you tell us what type of stuff you are looking for we will most likely be able to help you.

If you want a public tracker to just hit and run (which you really should never do), just go to Demonoid, which is basically a public tracker.

If safety is your primary concern, you shouldn't be looking at public trackers. I never felt a threat when I used them, but know that anyone can download a torrent on a public tracker and get a list of the connected IPs.

Seriously though, sometimes they have something that you just can't find anywhere else. http://btjunkie.org

BTJunkie definitely has the biggest database but it's results can be hit and miss, lot of dead torrents. I think Demonoid is the best public tracker, nice search engine, some nice releases and good comments on the torrents.
