I know this has been ask before, but what is the best anti-virus out there at the moment?
I'm looking for something that don't take up a lot of resources.
At the moment I'm using avg7, the free version. But not sure if its doing as good as job as many others out there.

Antivir may be faster that AVG (both are free)
Nod32 is supposed to be the best when it comes to taking resources (not free)
norton or mcafee or pccillin ............. of course NOT!
I'd stay with AVG free
My vote goes for Kaspersky Anti-Virus 6.
NOD32 is consistently good and very low on resources. Its so good that I actually bought a copy!
well for now it's either nod32 or Kaspersky, it all depends on what u wanna protect yourself from, the are both great and low on resources. U can almost say it's a win win situation.. :P
Another vote for Kaspersky.
I say NOD32.
I have been using AVG - that together will a bit of common sense has kept me virus free for at least 2 years now :)

i like nod32 but its not really free :( a good free one is avast or clamwin but i havent used that one so i cant say how perfect it is? other ppl say its good tho
NOD32 is the best in my opinion - lightweight and updates very often
I have been using AVG Antivirus for almost years now . and until this day , i didn't get any virus . I also use a good Firewall . I would advice to use AVG because it has also a free good edition .

I dont use one, EVER i never have viruses because i know what websites are fishy and not, you only get a virus if you are very stupid.- viruses dont come to you,
kaspersky,nod32 and bitdefender are the best anitvirus. they are equally good depeding on time.

McAfee is what I have,no problems so far with it.

pc-cillin picks up stuff no other does and partinered with vista
Nod32 for me.
i use nod32 and avg, both are sound.
AVG free , light and secure for real .
i use nod32 and i dont have problems
