I just buy a new hard drive when space is low and the HDTV is hooked up to my PC.
DVD 4x.
Lower speeds safer.
16x
Not necessarily true but in most cases yes.....To really determine the best speeds one has to scan the burnt disc for errors...google pi pif scanning....If you really would like to understand it try reading this http://forums.speedlabs.org/index.php?topic=472.0
It is interesting but it can be a little dry and technical :D But Zebra does know what he is talking about...Stick with high quality media and speed will not be an issue.....I usually overspeed ty02(8x media) at 12x with good results 95% +
dvd is 16x. I ran out of the TDK & imation disks I was using and have 2 spindles (one fujifilm and the other memorex) and both will only burn at 4x. I updated the firmware and everything.
I guess it's really important the brand name. Anyone else have similar issues?
