It was discovered when there was a game of Rugby being played. Some chap dropped the ball and another one kicked it. Over time the shape changed to an oblique spheroid because it suited the game better.

Golf was invented in a similar fashion when a hole appeared in a tennis court.

although i hate Milan i think they gonna win, Liverpool hasn't enough strikers.
on other hand Milan has too many "Stars" then players, the only English club which can be categorized same is Chelsea .
