I'm telling ya sharedholder IMO people get freaked (scared) over the lack of control with DustBuster XP.
3 Days and nothing wrong happenend
I decided to dabble with it and its a neat program, for some reason my pc is working that extra bit faster than usual. when i looked at defrag b4 i ran it i had 70% of my HD left to use after i ran dustbuster i had 74% left so it must of got rid of afew stuff. Anyhow nice little program, i think ppl will b put off how the instillation thing is in italian.
Good for you. :)
ok as an earlier post said, i missed what it had cleaned the first time i run this, just run it again and it cleaned over 1000 files and 272meg, but as far as i am aware i havnt installed anything since i last used it, unless my lass has been using the temp folder to extract crap lol.
Dustbuster is Back!! http://www.softnews.ro/public/cat/14/4/14-4-10.shtml
Talk about under the radar. Gonna check it out now. Wonder why no new version #.
I'm waiting for you.........
IMO this version is exactly the same. Except it is installed. The older 2.8 is 3 or 4x smaller & is just an executeable (.exe). I'm going to stick with the older version. Thanks for pointing this out SH. :)
  Ok,DustBuster is back. Read here why
that is amazing little tool and it does the job, lets just say it found many junk files i hope it hasnt deleted my important windows files, if it had the i will come back for ur ass SH  :D
That was quick.
BUMP

SH, Nobody has the courage to use this.
What the hell is this?
Here ya go. http://www.majorgeeks.com/download.php?det=1182
heh, lol it only cleared 2 files in the win dir. Since I already deleted most of the junk that comes from ms win cd <_< . I always delete excutables in windows folder. Try it, it is fun, because they get restored next reboot. Try it with ctfmon.exe. :D
I know some apps need the .bak files, because i actually used em in a program called CB Interactive. They were the speed and pitch settings files for the program's reading speed, heh and when ya delete em.. the program crashes during startup. unsure about DustBuster hehehe.
DustBuster XP never caused me any problems.
how much space did it free up?Quote:

700 different methods sounds sooo extreme.
On fresh installs & not so fresh installs of XP & other OS's it has freed up 240-460MB on different computers I've worked on. Then on subsquent runs of course DB freed up much less space.
 No thanks. :PQuote:

Damn SH. Why'd you bump this?
I like DB XP   BUMP again. :DQuote:
