I quite like VWs. The wife's got a little black polo she scuttles around town in. I can't drive it properly because my legs are too long, but it's a very good little car, and it'd be OK for people like Mr Mulder.

I also like the styling of the (new) VW Beetle.


I also like Audi, so I'm not totally anti-German.

What about the New Jetta that looks like the old Passat almost ?

Footnote - I had no idea what you were talking about, so I google image searched for Jetta, and this is what I found...

BMW drivers = knob jockies
Mercedes = Chrysler = american, so no
Audi = good but basic unless you splash the cash (= posh VW)

I have driven a 330i Sport, at a fast rate of speeds. It's like driving on rails, absolutely incredible thing. I've driven quite a few BMWs but that was my favourite to drive.

Mercedes and Chrysler merged ages ago. I think Mercedes were faltering against the onslaught of BMW and the merger just seemed to push them faster down the slippery slope to mediocrity. BMW (and you could argue Audi as well) has a better car than Mercedes in every category, except maybe at the very, very top end.

What would you consider the very very top end tho'.

Both Toyota and Audi make really good cars. However if I had to chose between them or a decent BMW I would take the BMW. I did drive a really nice wee Audi A3, 1.8 turbo as I recall, that was a fairly exciting experience.

I've driven 2 Audis before, both of them were nice to drive. One was my grandad's A4 and the other was an RS6. The RS6 is probably the fastest car I've evar driven, it was like shit off a stick.

I only got to drive the RS6 cause one of my relatives worked for audi at the time and it was covered for anyone to drive it.

I think it was something stupid like 450hp, I would have had to have sold a kidney or something to afford insurance for something like that at my age.

The nicest car I've driven was a volvo s60 T5. It was fast, fecking nice to drive and comfy as fook.

this is my car, cept mines older and crappier looking - it was my cousins who is a chavy boy racer and wrecked it completely, it was more or less given to me. the hand brake doesn't work, the guard on the timing belt has snapped off, the drivers side door doesn't close properly, it needs a new front tyre, one of the brake lights stopped working yesterday and recently its started to make not very good noises. it is also bright yellow and very small, i have to have the seat right back and even then its cramped (shut-up barbie) and the radio and cd player don't work.

so Mercedes-Benz and Bmw look pretty ftw atm :smilie4:
