OiNK.me.uk is no more!

Because of the recent DNS issues, and the undesirable solution to fix them, we are changing the site's name from OiNK.me.uk to OiNK.cd.

The OiNK.me.uk domain will soon cease to function, and a full changeover will happen shortly. Please update your bookmarks.

Please also re-download any torrents you may have in your clients in order to update the tracker address. Torrents downloaded from now on will contain 2 tracker addresses, the new OiNK.cd domain, and the tracker's IP address, which should make any future DNS issues less serious. They will also contain the site's IP address in the torrent comment field, in case of future problems.

Sorry about the inconvenience, but we deem the name change necessary for the continuation of the site.

So what are you waiting for? OiNK that CD already! (I guess this means a new slogan contest?! http://oink.cd/pic/smilies/wink.gif).

Yeah just saw this too... Well, I don't even remember my password to OiNK :) but I think i'll be done using OiNK anyway now.

When I first read on OiNK that it was "no more" I was shocked and almost thought it was gone for good :( that would've been some wild shit!

Well, the only problem is to reup the torrents, nothing will change with new domain I guess.

You don't have to reload the trackers. Just change from tracker.oink.me.uk to tracker.oink.cd in your torrent client, or copy the current tracker announce and paste it below. Change it to the new url and you will have both.

Copying and pasting is more work than reloading the trackers from 100 torrents? At least you won't have to keep switching between your browser and your client and approving a bunch of crap.

change "85.17.40.69" or "tracker.oink.me.uk" to "tracker.oink.cd" for each torrent and you are done. That's hard?

Also, just change your hosts file to make oink.me.uk to their ip. Then your torrents will work even if their domain is dead.

I too agree... we all should get some credit. I had about 15 torrents seeding in my client for weeks to get them atleast a 2.00 ratio. Oh well; I can take the hit.

Yes. They've been having DNS issues with their DNS registrar for presenting false data in registration. Because they were reported by that fat guy. Because they torrented his crappy book. That nobody even wanted to download let alone read.
