well k-lite is my fav but i use quit a few
e-mule
e-donkey
soul seek
win-mx
lime wire
ill allso do a lot of sharing over the ftps from site like gamingforce
think those are all i got i ..used to have some other ons but didt work very good

I quite like SoulSeek as it allows you to download from specific users. It's a useful tool - better than K-Lite in some respects, worse in others.
Using them both gives you a great filesharing combo!
I like the edonkey hybrid. It's as slow as hell, but has a good amount of files.
Other than Kazaalite I use Shareaza and Direct Connect. I probably use Shareaza more than anything since i can download torrents with it.
Me too. Shareaza is getting stronger every release (now including Gnutella1 and 2, e-donkey and bittorent).
Also using WinMx a lot.

eMule (sometimes for rare stuff) ;)
I use mostly only Bit torrent , kazaa is good only for music, music videos and litlle stuff B)
Well, I'd like to say Kazaalite. However, even though I have files selected to share, the taskbar shows that I'm Not sharing any files. Makes me feel like a heel. Anyone else with this problem ? <_<
Its got to be bittorrent, maybe IRC if i want movies first (even though you have to wait a week in a que) :D
I do nt understand why direct connect does not get more love around here, I mean no queing, spen some time and you can easily have 3 100 kb/s transfers running. I understand it is not for average or low shareres, but or those of use with that second 80 gig hardrive it is the best filesharing around (maybee tied with k-lite) completly diffrent strengths and weaknesses.
I use
EarthStation 5 :) (poor layout and lack of files but I'm still waiting as its got quite a bit of potential)
I've tried
DC++ (not a good idea for 56K'ers and since I burn most of the stuff I d/l onto CD its almost impossible to get onto a hub)
Limewire (the P2P program I tried first of all but stopped after finding Kazaalite)
Emule Plus (installed it found lots of stuff but couldn't download any of it due to some sort of sharing system and so deleted it)
IRC (couldn't really get the hang of it so didn't bother after the first attempt)
Win MX (downloaded it after reading about it around these forums but I didn't really get along with it and deleted it)
There are others like Shareaza to try and stuff but for the moment I'm sticking with Kazaalite.

The programs I use in order of best program first:
Kazaa Lite
Emule
Bittorrent
I don't rate P2P programs on how good they are compared to others, mainly because some get some types of files better than others. I do it as in 'Good for <insert filter>' or 'Just plain crap'
But I digress - Here's what I use.
Kazaa Lite - Small files (i.e. less than 100MB), especially miscellaneous files (e.g. e-books)
eMule - Larger files that need to be more stable copies (e.g. CD images) Note - I said eMule, not eMule Plus; I had a few tries with that and in the end I just said stuff it and went to the original.
BitTorrent - Exceptionally large files (e.g. The Sims 7 in 1), and especially movies (not BitTorrent++ - Been a few problems with it around the place)
I might try Soulseek next, but one step at a time ;)
I thoroughly recommend Soulseek. Not only can you download full albums, but you can also chat to fellow k-liters (either in the main room or in pm) while your downloading.
And you are more or less sure that the files arnt fake :)
Recently I almost exclusively use Bittorrent. By far the fastest of them all for me (broadband). Lately I'm using the new Private Tracker a lot (Which I thoroughly recommend, see my sig)
I use IRC and/or Newsgroups if I want something new fast and Direct Connect for everything else I can't find on the rest.
E-Mule for games....and Kazaa lite for porn! I mean films and things ;)

Thanks Paul I thin you are the first person on the forum to really agree with me on that, given they hate us on direct connect alot to. Can't convince them that K-lite does not have the crap that Kazaa does.

Shareaza - Software with ShareReactor.
News Groups - New Releases, Full Albums.
Bittorent - TV Episodes.
ES5 - Waiting for growth.
Currently Using Right Now:
Kazaa Lite - This is like my main P2P program. I download everything off K-Lite.
DCPlusPlus - I like it. It's simple, and easy to use. The problem i have is getting into hubs that have a certin amount of Gigs your supposed to share. If your tired of leeches, try DC++.
Used Before:
Shareaza - I like this one alot. I currently don't have it downloaded on my hard drive because i'm waiting for a final release of their new version.
SoulSeek - For some reason I don't like it a lot. I'm currently downloading it right now to give it another try.
There's more. But SS just finished and i'm going to try it out. :P

I use DC++ alot and I don't agree fully.
No queues: Nope, but you still have to find someone with a good connection WITH SLOTS FREE. Basically the same thing.
Fast transfers: As stated above you'll have to find them and DC does not support multi-source d/ling, making high-speed connections a trial-and-error affair.
Don't get me wrong, I love DC, but don't give it credits for features you can get better on other P2P's.

By no queing what I mean is that once you do find someone with an open slot, you do not qued for it. If you are able to get on to good hubs thatn that becomes quite east. Multisourcing cause transfer errors - criticl when downloading bins and iso's. by looking at how many slots a person has you can tell whether they have a good connection or not, or if you find someone with the flower, or fireaball whatever it is supposed to be. But all that together with the fact that eachj hub has more shared then the entire kazaa community, and I do not think that I am giving it credit for something it does not have, as soon as you find a sile not like others (like donkey, mule ar shareaza) where you find a 100 or more sources and still no speed.
One-word answer:
Bittorrent
It's definitely Bittorrent for me.
Here's the real deal for broadband users (not in order of how good they are):
1) KaZaA Lite ++ - Its the fastest way to get some music. Want to get a poplular album that was released in stores anywhere from the late 90's up until a month ago, and want it in 192 quality? Use KL++ .... And KL++ is best for a quick porn fix. (Dowloading a few porn pics/vids to "you know what" to, and delete afterwards.)
2) mIRC - Don't fear this program! Yes, there are a lot of options but its much simpilar than you think, just relax your brain and learn what to do to get into a popular room, and to find files. mIRC is great for getting advanced release and brand new released albums, getting individual rare songs, and getting songs unavailable to the common public (example: songs from Linkin Park FAN CLUB MEMBERS only CDs)
3) WinMX - Its crap. Yeah, lots of MP3s. But you'll ALWAYS average at around 9Kbps. All the other P2Ps are faster.
4) Limewire/Bearshare/IMESH - All similar to Napster, are really only good for MP3s, and KaZaA is so much faster.
5) Edonkey - Avoid it and go with Mule!
6) Emule - Good for people with patience, find rare movies with it. Can be slow as a turtle one day, and quick as a bunny another. Be patient and youll get some good movies.
Now those were all the P2P's Ive tried. As for the ones I havent tried:
1) Bittorent (Regular and ++) - Supposently good way to get "in theatre" movies. I heard it can be fast. Sounds somewhat complicated though.
2) Shareaza w/ torrent cpabilities - Heard of it, and will be trying it tonight, hopefully it does handle bittorent files so I dont need B++ or anything. Sounds like it might be KaZaA features mixed with BT features.
3) SoulSeek - Sounds nice, I'll check it out sometime. Has individual user to user downloads!
4) Direct Connect (and DC++) - I have no idea what they're about and what seperates them from other programs. Someone please tell me!

I'm happy with eMule (although not the weird K-Lite eMule installer). I'm downloading Lindows 4.0 (I hope), and I'm getting a nice 10 k/b download rate, not of course anywhere near my xDSL limit, but still rather nice compared with the less than 1 kB rates I would get from K-Lite.
