torrentbytes back online?
well they look to be back ")
new database i think
open sigh ups but been waiting for the confirm email for 15 and nothing
still Fixing the new site .......
"2007-07-17 - It's been a very long month or two since our beloved Torrentbytes was last seen alive, but now we are back. Our good friend Alex has made his decision which means we need to start from scratch, in every aspect of the word. On IRC and MSN some of us may have got a little angry and possibly got pissed off with whatever, and it's only to be expected given the circumstances. So, let's look to the future and put the past behind us. Windpaw/Alex is long gone and we have done our best to keep him well away from us and the site. Our hardcore members WILL return, along with a lot of our previous members im sure. The userbase will be full before the end of the month, so from the offset let's try and remain positive and full of spirit. Yeah, the whole situation sucks... but all we can do is make the best of it. This is a fresh start, so lets have some fun like we did. Let's sort out anything that we thought needed 'fixed' on the 'previous' TBy and push to make this the site it once was. VIVA LA TORRENTBYTES"

Re: torrentbytes back online?
From the irc channel:
Quote:
* Now talking in #torrentbytes-support
* Topic is 'SITE: ONLINE - TRACKER: ONLINE .::. .::. This channel is a support channel, not for chit-chat nor idling! .::. All accounts are gone, please re-register! .::. WE ARE WORKING ON THE MAILSERVER ERROR! Please wait! .::. We are manually confirming accounts, please be patient!'
...when I signed up there was 700 registered users now it says 300, wtf? And I still haven't got an confirmation email.

Re: torrentbytes back online?
This is very good news, I hope TB can reclaim their former glory. I'm still waiting on my confirmation email as well Tristan.

Re: torrentbytes back online?
LOL :D, why did they limit the user account to 2,000?
They are new now, and they need more users to be able to stand up again & get strong!
:P

Re: torrentbytes back online?
i registered, didn't gt any email, can't login, when i try to register again a get a msg that my email is already in use, when i recover my password i get a msg that this email isn't on their database
weird site
-
Re: torrentbytes back online?
Sign up is working properly now.
They limit the users, so the site doesnt get hammered with everyone trying to get in at the same time. They will probably get back up to 50.000 members but it will take a few days.

Content-wise, they suck. The only good thing about them is their forums (which looks like won't be as good as before since they only are accepting ~5K members atm).

Re: torrentbytes back online?
Is anyone else getting this msg after you fill the sign-up page:
Quote:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':' in /www/www.torrentbytes.net/email.inc.php on line 3

Re: torrentbytes back online?
If your acc is not confirmed by confirmation mail go to their chan and request it manually to be done.
I also get this error

Must say that after waiting a long time to get into TB it was the biggest disappointment out of all the BT sites. Yet another statistic of the WIAW thread.
Not gonna bother signing up this time just to have another entry on my bookmarks.
