I know you all must be sick of it BUT, iwant to put a picture off my pc on as an avatar, or in the message box etc, tried for hours, but i'm just getting more drunk.
please dont suggest av&sig the final guide, i've been there, tried various links, of hosts etc, need the fu*kwits guide unfortunately. i'll become a computer geek if it's the last thing i do! take the piss by all means as long as you help.ta. :rolleyes:
Do you know how to upload a picture to the internet. If not you will need to learn.
Go here and get an account
http://image.uploader.net/user/
then upload your picture. You can use any web based storage, this is just the one I use.
Once you have done that post back and I will tell you what to do next. If you want it step by step.

Ive been trying too! (in every sense!) In the end I found a low tech solution.
I just bought a book of first class stamps and stuck one to the screen - then using the scroll bar I can position it correctly - Hey presto One first class Idiot's Avatar!

yeah but it could have got you by then.....
best chance is to shoot it with a bow and arrow or a shotgun - but that wont leave much of it left to eat and that, so you might want to try a small pistol maybe, i dunno as i know nothing about guns.
also you could try throwing rocks and stones at it to knock it out and/or kill it.
Good luck tonight - try taking some magic mushrooms before you go at it - might give you the advantage you need.

ive been into "my controls" and edit avatar seems to be the http// box that giving me grief.

it gives a link there you just have to copy shortcut and paste as the avatar

upload it again without the space (%20). mine didnt work cos it had a $ in
Open the picture in whatever host you chose. Then right click on it and select properties.
Highlight the url then right click the highlighted area and select copy.
Come back here, select my controls.
Select edit avatar settings.
Paste your url into the "select online avatar settings" you can do this by simply putting your insertion point in that field (if it is blank) and right click - paste. If it is not blank just delete what is already there and paste the url in.
Then press the update avatar button.
Let me know if this causes you problems - any of it.
