This is for all of you who are not sharing any files on kazaa, and claim to be a k-lite master, etc. I'm sure you have all heard from them, they all try to upload from you, but in return they are not actually sharing any files.
Just a note to you, You will be cancelled if you try to upload from me, and I also
suggest that everyone checks the people who are uploading from you, check to see
if they have files to share, If not, cancel them, it's that simple.
How would you know if they have the privacy patch installed??

It's not exactlly in the spirit to be on Kazaa and have no files to share either, that is what this program is all about right. think about it, if no one has any files to share, then It really wouldn't be considered a p2p program right.???Quote:

Slight overkill - there are a lot of people who check the option to not show their shared folder - if you have a lot of newly released movies you might not want to advertise the fact, as an example
You cannot assume that simply because you cannot see a users shared folder that he/she doesn't have one

geez what part of that do you not understand, if I do a search on that person, and the search comes back that they have no files, it is not me that has the problem, it is them, I show what I am sharing, if I didn't I would expect to be cancelled too.

No, your statement is not clear at all...except for the fact you cancel ppl who appear not to be sharing...
you still don't get it do you??? there is a function called the Privacy Patch...it makes it so that a person cannot get your filelist...the person is still sharing, but nobody can get a users whole list to be able to hold it against them...obviously you hold this against them....
of course, there are leechers...which of course are scum of the earth...these are the ppl who check the box to disable sharing...
the point is, how do you know who you are cutting off???
if it really makes you feel better, go for it!...eventually you will tire of it, and just concentrate on acquiring your own share and stop being so concerned about what othesr are/aren't sharing...of course, if you find a person with Kiddie Porn in their share, report em!
Yea, thats the way i normally get rid of leechers but the problem is sometimes they block you from seeing their files for "privacy reasons" :unsure: . Anyway around that?
@ Scorpio - I think that the developers of this program may just know a little bit more than you about the spirit of filesharing. They decided to put that in, I dunno why, I could guess but I don't wanna be wrong. Anyways I am sharing right now 80 Gigs, I leave that checked. Also for those of you that do check uploaders - how often do you get no results, because i never get any.

Pretty soon you're going to get bored of this.
If the guy you are cancelling is using an automatic "find more sources" tool, he will automatically reconnect to you every 5 seconds or so, what are you going to do then?
You could use your firewall to block his IP address, but then what if he has a dynamic IP address, then tomorrow he will come along again with a new IP address and start uploading from you again..
So what do you do? eventually, you will have a huge amount of IP addresses you refuse to share with, but what about the hoards innocent kazaa users who may have found themselves using those IP addresses, want to upload from you, but can't, because you've tried to block previous users of their IP's?
Now who's not sharing, now who's a leecher... ;)
It's not worth the trouble my friend, you might as well just live with the fact that not all people share...

Anybody that displays their media file list these days, with everything thats going on today with filesharing in my opinion,is taking a very unreasonable and unnecessary risk. I guess that I'll be doing without your files..thanks anyway ;)

I made the post because of people who try to upload from me, and in return, if I try to get something from them, they don't have anything to offer, for what ever reason, they either hide what they are sharing, which makes no sense to me anyway, face it, if you don't want to share files, then why in the hell get on a filesharing program in the first place???
All I am saying is, that if at anytime, I notice someone who is trying to upload from me and I want to check that user to see if they have any files to share, and it turns out that they don't, I will cancel them it's that simple, they are wanting to get something that I have without wanting to give anything in return?????
It's not like they couldn't upload from someone else anyway, there are over 4 million people on Kazaa, maybe what I'll do is just send them to you since it doesn't seem to bother you. would you like that?????

You COULD get a cancellation notice, or rather a demand to cease the distribution of certain files, from your ISP, if an agent of the coyright owner notifies them of the media you are distributing.
when news such as this is read by some, they do worry. Some panic and quit sharing or quit using P2P altogether - which is the intended effect of such a news release.
Oh and it's worth noting that Kazaalite software of any source is not 100% perfect - mainly because of the fast track protocol itself. Sometimes the search more from this user does not return results, until a "2nd pass" search. Meanwhile, some who have no idea of the way things work shout and swear "F*** leeching B*****" and cut off a user sharing plenty of good stuff.

I only cancel those certain few who try to upload from me, and have no files to share in return, I have that right, and so does everyone else who don't want a bunch of leeches uploading from them.
I've been reading your two topics ( yes, even the one you didn't really want to make... the one I'm replying to, actually ) and I have the strange feeling that you don't even read the replies that people gave you and keep repeating over and over again the stuff you said in your first post... I share a lot of files, some of them VERY popular and in demand, and my upload slots are always full.
I also use the Privacy Patch.
The people i download off cannot see what im sharing....the people uploading from me, cant see what else im sharing.
If they ask for a file i have, i will be a source...but they dont get a full list of files off me at ANY time.
The ONLY people that know everything that i have in my shared folder, are those that log into my ftp....and i know all these people and trust them.
Thats the ONLY reason they get access.
So, in your little mind, it OK for YOU to upload off me...but i will be cut for uploading off you. That makes YOU the leech, not me.
Anyone that is willing to sit at their traffic window cutting leech's (especially as there is NO WAY to tell if someone is leeching or not) really needs to get out more.
