I found out that it is very difficult in getting a buffer cushoin at ScT. I've always jumped into the latest uploaded torrents, but failed to get even 0.7 ratio. Whereas some users have already moved onto a seed status in a few minutes. How did it happen? Please tell me what you think about this matter. Thanks.
Because majority they're using 100mbit? If you download their latest uploaded torrent & a lot of people download it, you should have a better ratio, but if it's still failed, go get a better connection
or just use a tracker where it is easier to maintain a decent ratio (TL, RevTT, FTN etc)Quote:

if you cant afford a seedbox, then i suggest you download part of the torrent (like download one rar file only) and seed it as much as possible..

To many seedbox's to compete with, thats your problem.
You can always grab the torrent from another site like scc with faster pretimes and then hash it @ scenetorrents. But imo it's not worth it. If you can't keep up with the boxes find another tracker that fits you better:)
Seed old torrents...
Since seedboxes have limited HD space, fast peers often delete new torrents quickly, leaving behind people with average/good connections. When someone comes along you should be able to get a decent upload going.
yeah aburyach is right, seed old torrents if u faild with the new ones.
in ScT a lot of users have very fast connection so to keep good ratio is really hard.. but if you seed only peaces of torrents and old torrents you should keep good ratio..
i wonder how many users have a seedbox on that site, the speeds are just ridiculous.
Just never remove your torrents from your client. When I used ScT a lot I could almost always seed 1:1. Even with big DVDR files, there's always people downloading something and eventually seedboxes remove the files from their hard drives once they seed 2:1 or something like that.
snatch a few files on new torrents and seed until it dies.
Yea, keep your torrents seeding for along time. DL new files from TL and then seed them on ScT to build up a buffer. I built my buffer up easily.
man just leave your pc on for a few days thats it and you'll see a diffence in upload thats what i do to help and my ratio up
Leave your pc on and jump fast on the new torrents before they have a bunch of seeders :)
True... I used to just partially download and upload new torrents with lots of leechers... Doing that, I used to get over 100+GB buffer in 2+ weeks with my 5Mbps up speed.Quote:

ScT is hard to seed but not as hard as OiNK you just need to no what to download and what to seed. Try to download the samples from movies and seed them for a long time I heard that worked for some members with slow upstream connection
Download Packs and keep seeding forever, its the sevret ;)
I suppose just leeching straight away on a newly uploaded torrennt that you can tell will be popular (eg, heroes packs). And seed until you've uploaded more than you've downloaded. Or, you might have to consider renting a seedbox, or trading something for sharing one.
