Okay all these high profile trackers are leacing me hanging on by an edge. I got a 10mbps dl/1 mbps ul line. I leave torrents to seed and all in all these trackers, and every few minutes it goes 5kbps or less. It owuld take forever to seed to an even ratio sometimes. Whats the best practice, wihtout cheating (of course) to get fast seeds. And yes I do upload my own stuff to oink, but I get few hits.
Try donating for upload credits.
RTS is fairly easy to seed in, actually its really easy, they always have like free leech and 3x upload or something.
But for a suggestion try finding a popular release and dowloading a few pieces of it then just seed those, so you dont have to download the whole thing but still get good upload stats
Download toorrents with a lot of leechers even if you dont need it.Quote:

oink is a lot easier to seed than most people think. they have a sizeable app section....torrents like windows vista and the like are really easy ratio boosters.
grab scene releases, then upp em' on oink

I have 512/512 and in OiNK i grab files with 10+ leechers and only download 10% of the file, then leave it seeding

Hi there, welcome in FST, you know, seeding technique on ALL trackers are the SAME, it is just your ratio will build up faster on easier sites.. I won't say the techniques because I'm sorry, but I'm tired of typing and reading all of them.. I know we all forgot to use the SEARCH BUTTON sometimes..I may conclude that you just forgot if you intended so.. you can use the search button, it's a great help..
1. Use common sense.
2. Don't be greedy when downloading.
3. With 1mbps upload you shouldnt have a problem anywhere, there are masses of people that can keep decent ratios with less than half that speed.

In Oink and RTS you can upload your own torrents which can get you agood ratio ,besides try to download the packs in RTS as they usuually will get you agood ratio
IN FTN it's really very easy to seed especially if u jumped on new torrents

Oink usually has/had a free leech period from Xmas to New Years. Most peopel choose this time to download the huge torrents, apps, language packs. So get in on the download and you can seed for a week and boost your ratio greatly. I know even with my crappy slow DSL connection I can up several gbs per day during this period.

How is it strict to expect an uploaded CD to be an actual 320kbps rip, and not some upconverted shit?
lol, I'm to cheap to buy cd's, I try and go on rts and whatever to find stuff to put on Oink, but their strict beyond belief. Maybe I should og out and try to get some cd's
For Oink, what I did was uploaded about 3GB before I even searched for anything I wanted. I wanted to make it to PU+ (10GB) before I downloaded anything, but that didn't work.
oh btw I got my (+) taken away for uploading a "bad transcode" album. Is there a way to get my + or uploading staus back?

It's idiots like you that make people who actually care about good quality music and not just getting a ratio on a site pissed.
Everyone says that OiNKs staff is strict, but if they didn't take down shitty transcodes like yours, the site would have 500,000 torrents and half of them would be crap.
Just be thankful they didn't ban you.
