Hello:
3 options:
1. Spend countless hours looking on the web to find a site that lets you really download music that doesn't have the expiration thing.
2. Borrow the CDs from friends and rip it your self.
3. Or stop being a puss.
There it is,
Nasair
Or you could always go out and buy the cd.... :D lol
i think every one who starts a topic about being scared of the riaa ect should do the above.Quote:

i like to 2nd that
Hey you guys I think that's a little rude to treat newbies like him(and myself) on this issue like what you're saying to him right now Just cut him some slack. There has to be an easy way to defend oneself.
what are you talking about boss you want to share but not get caught when its against the law so you what to have your cake and eat it too ;) now every body knows better than that, you whant it chance it if not don't do it, you don't need us to tell you that B)
There is no 100% foolproof protection, other than not using p2p.
There are precautions you can take to significantly reduce the risk.
Use the Privacy Patch and peergardian for example.
Then if your really paranoid, hide behind proxies.
ya thats right hack to proxies and hide there  but then we'll get a post saying how to i do that and not get caught
proxies can be traced...its just a matter on if they really wanted to do it... ;]
Number of people participating in filesharing: 100,000,000
Number of people that went to jail because of the RIAA: 0
Number of people that had to pay a small fine to the RIAA: 10
Number of filesharers hit by a car and died: 100
Take your chances and GET A LIFE !
nice one paul.
Move out of the US, and they can't do anything about it.
yes only here in the us are we so lucky to have iraa protect us from our selves
The moment i saw that i just wanted to blurt out: "I wanna be the king of England"... well, not really.Quote:
I Want Music Without The Risk...
Now, let's put together 10 things you can do to protect yourself...
1) Get the CD from a friend
2) Buy the CD
3) Find a website or FTP that allows direct download
4) Move out of the USA
6) Kill the RIAA leadership
7) Hack the RIAA
8) Hide behind a proxy
9) Use privacy patch/peer guardian
10) Stop being a puss
Yep, #10 is the best of all :) :) :)

nothing to do with the topic but
@ Paul: Holy Nice avatar!!! that is the SWEETEST ass ever!!
back on topic: @ All of who haven't clued in yet: Stop being such pusses and just use P2P! No one's coming to get you, so don't worry about it! Did the video rental shop ever call you because you dubbed that cassette......? ;)
@ all of you who aren't quite used to the Humor on this Forum:
The 'Powered by the RIAA' thingy? It's a joke. get over it.
'nuff said
Everyone seems to be making a simple question into a big issue. Use PeerGuardian or use another p2p program. (RIAA is constantly monitoring the Fasttrack Network) If you are sharing and using kazaa, definiately use peer guardian.
Take a chance like I do. Get peer guardian it blocks companies from seeing you ip but you have to first get the info. You can get it here at http://xs.tech.nu
people please if you are going to recommend peergurdian also tell people that its not 100% safe and even with it you can still get caught, there is no 100% protection unless you don't upload and download
i vote for this one :D if you're really that scared of getting caught, just go buy the cd. no risk there. ;)Quote:
