New leeware sucks, Dont buy! Read...

Edit It seems my setup just sucks more than most peoples, But will keep the original post below. Also, Can anyone answer the question on page 3 (2nd post down i believe).


Well, As the title says, Dont buy leeware for seeding. Its completely crap.

The max download speed im hitting is 2.2MB/s which i can get with my home connection anyway.

The max upload im getting is around 20KB/s with alot of peers. (New TL torrents that have over 100 peers. We all know they should get better upload speeds)

Compared to my home connection, I shouldn't have bothered, I get the same download speed and the upload speed compared to leeware is alot better. Around 95KB/s compared to the 20KB or so from the box is a complete joke.

If you buy leeware and get the same problem from now, All i can say is "Told you so" ;)

I would imagine this isn't only my issue and alot are experiencing the same so im surprised this hasnt been posted sooner tbh.

Warning over, now the question

I'm considering where to go next, But i only want the upload speed. Im not too bothered about the download speed, That can max at 1MB/s for all i care, But i want the upload speed to be "great".

Im willing to put around £40 into another box, Which works out to be around 58 EUR or 80 USD.

I dont know many companies that dont pay much attention to what we do with the servers, So enlighten me please :lol:

Also, Post your experiences with the leeware TZ series for others to see also. I really hope im the only one who is getting speeds so slow, But i highly doubt it though.

Edit: Right now, The seedbox posts are all over the place, If someone has used alot of diffent seedboxes, Maybe they could post which is the best, Maybe work them into sections of price range or something?

Has anyone else had better speeds than that??

Sorry for hijacking the thread, but which seedbox should I get if I consider to get one? It should be easy to run (I'm a total noob) with somekind of websystem (web ui?), decent speed and not very expensive.

KeyWeb's RootDS-Premium or
Hosting-IE's VPS Raptor 3+ although I'd tell you to get the KeyWeb one with Windows as Hosting-IE, from what I read in another thread, is just a Re-seller of KeyWeb boxes.
I personally havent used any servers, this is just information I've gathered with a bit of searching. Everyone should try it once in a while. :D

@Mars, Which of the TZ's are you using? Mines the TZ200 and my speeds are terrible at best :(

the speeds vary alot. yesterday I was uploading at a rate of around 2.5MB. today, I've only been uploading at 80-90KB max. the torrents all have plenty of leeches, so there shouldn't be any problem with getting a consistent upload speed. try rebooting your server from the control panel, and see if that makes a difference, I've found it helps me out every once in a while.

I think they're overselling the servers and their bandwidth. too bad lee isn't hosting the service himself anymore, I never had bad speeds on his servers. this tzulo.com company is not run well.

mm i saw the blocked some of my ports, try changing port.
they also installed this stupid firewall that blocked my connection untill i changed ports..

Did everyone who is getting half decent speeds use the setup guide by BuggyMe?

I followed that, Maybe i missed an extra part that needs doing on the TZ series that the VPS series didnt need to be done?

Its weird that it seems only im affected by this :(

if you want good seedbox but not cheap
layerdtech is great!!!

mhm.. leeware always sucks.. However it has great speeds.. but there are a lot of good seedboxes which speeds are better than that...

So it sucks, but it however happens to have great speeds. What's wrong with it?

I Don't Know The Speed Far aS know It's
100Mbps FD (Full duplex)

they're a Netdirekt reseller (same DC as Vectoral)

wats the point in using seedboxes anyway :/

Bump (12 hours and 52 minutes since last post, So its a safe bump :lol:)

yes, I set it up according to the guide. I've tried switching all kinds of options in utorrent, and it doesn't help.

here's my bandwidth for the last 12 hours. as you can see, it averages around 100-200KB most of the time. it's shared bandwidth, and they've got too many people running torrents on their servers, and it's killing all the upload. there's really nothing you can do about it other than switch to another host.

Ok, So my box has gone insane over the last 24 hours for some reason.

Averaging 5.5MB upload total on 4 torrents right now with the highest one being 3.8MB alone.

Sure I had one couple months a go
I paid for 6 months and got disconnected in about 3 weeks
when submitted an ticket got the link to t.o.s. (Which was in German language, and I couldn't' read before purchase) saying that torrents are illegal in Germany and keyweb strictly do not supports them,
and my server was suspended,

and never got my payment back for the rest of the months aether.

So read the tos of keyweb before purchasing some from them.:angry:, Plus they do VDS's just on Virtuozzo, and i was getting HDD errors every single day:angry:
