Watch movies without unraring

Found a nice little utility you guys might enjoy. Play dvix/xvid movies from rar files.

This program play rar files that:
Method compression : store

Play dvd, mvk, avi, mpge, ogg, rar

This program based on MPlayer (http://www.mplayerhq.hu)

Could be useful if you need to seed rar's and still want to watch the flick without having to extract.

how do you play .rar files with VLC? I just tried, i couldn't get it to work. what i did was drag all the files of the archive.

I use Dziobas Rar Player and love it...VLC is also highly recommended

vlc is a good software

yea id be interested in that link as well

i knew about vlc but i never know that bsplayer can do it

what? Any type of compression on rar files or just a spesific type? Sounds impossible. The movie has to be temporary extracted to a temp folder which means that is not playing from the rar file.

Anyways movies don't stay on my HDD too long. They go to my Xbox so this utility would not be so useful for me.

I just read a forum about VLC playing .rar files... they are using unrar.exe and VLCRAAR...

thanks to the thread creator and all your replies, now I don't need to extract my files just to watch them..
