I have one friend of a friend who had his modded the day after the ps3 released. It's all about knowing people who can do that kind of stuff though

Well whatever it is, he's renting games and somehow playing them after returning them.
As I said, friend of a friend, I've seen it on the two occasions I've been at his place since the ps3 came out - last time being the beginning of the summer before I had my own ps3. I didn't bother asking questions cuz I was just playing wii and ps2 at the time. It's not like I know the guy very well.
I've read up on this stuff, I know there's nothing out for it. It makes me all the more interested to go back to his place and see what he actually does.
His wii (not sure if he got it, only heard 2nd hand), xbox, xbox 360, and ps2 all have mods. He has burnt games for every system.
