StrangleHold Game Released (WTF 12.46GB and 50GB to install)

Hi

The long awaited game (Stranglehold) have been released today with abig surprise ,The game which was released in 2DVD's has an incredible size and some crazy space requirments

it was released with 12.46GB and requiring 50GB space to be installed like WTF

Stranglehold Download Minimum System Requirements

* Windows XP SP2, Windows Vista
* Intel Pentium 4 1.5GHz or AMD Athlon XP 1500
* 256 MB RAM
* 15.0 GB free hard disk space (Stranglehold requires 50GB of free hard disk space during the installation process but, once installed, the setup files can be removed or stored elsewhere. If installing to a secondary drive, your system's primary drive requires 20GB of free hard disk space during the installation process.)
* DirectX 9.0b compatible graphics card with 64 MB VRAM (see below for complete list)
* DirectX 9.0b compatible sound card
* DirectX 9.0c (included)
* Broadband Internet connection required for online play

so whose gonna download it ,does it even worth the space?

50 gb? Not bad. Maybe it will be a very beautiful game.

because i have seen the torrent release and was amazed of the size

yer but your problem or issue with the game isnt bittorrent specific, it will most likely be on newsgroups and any other p2p program with that amazing size.

Its actually 50gb to install plus 20gb if you download it to a different drive to the one you install it too. Plus the 12gb for the game. For 5-6hrs of gameplay...

Won't download it. But it must be a hell of a game. :)

its not a hell of a game really..the game is pretty average based on lots of gaming sites reviews..its not halo 3 or WoW 2 for god's sake..

It's just Max Payne with a Chow Yun Fat skin ;P .

Yeah I agree must be one hell of a game. As far as it being bit torrent related. Can you download it from a bit torrent site or with a bit torrent client, if so then it's bit torrent related.

A gaming forum has found a way to reduce this to 20GB i have heard in irc. I seem to have forgetten which forum, but if i get it i will post here.

I have played this game on xbox
Graphics isn't that great but gameplay is ok
Not worth the 50GB space in my opinion

I don't understand your problems with this game and it never took 50GB of space ever. First there are two DVD's in the original rar's (6.54+5.93), those unrare'd (6.54+5.91) and finally installed (12.59) which makes a total size of 37,5GB for a few seconds until I delete the images as they're not needed = 25GB left.

Yeah, that's considerable because it's rarely been there before, but what are 25GB in face of 500GB or 1TB harddisks?

I do have to say one final thing though: this game isn't worth the 12GB hdd space it needs. While the graphics are okay (and run surprisingly smooth), the game is too linear to be any great fun.

only took 12.6 giga from my hardrive , not 50 giga
now lets play
seems awesome

what are now system requirements because if i google i get on some pages 2 gb of ram and 2ghz according to first post it doesn't need as much

Just because the game is listed on a tracker doesn't make 'Bittorrent' the appropriate section. The topic of the question is the game and who is going to download it, not bittorrent. :huh:
