Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
I have not seen any good quality movies' released since Halloween or the Bourne Ultimatum in the middle of August.
I was wondering if anyone knows why?
Where are the groups and when are they going to come back.

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
Shouldn't you blaming Hollywood instead? It's not the groups that produce movies...
-
Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
They put them on the sites don't they?
Why would I blame anyone?

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
I know what you're saying mad555, it seems as if it's slowed down the last few months, a release here a release there but not back to back....though jr56 might have a point w/ Hollywood not spitting out the movies like they normally do....

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
Mr Brooks was another good ones

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
I think he's talking about good quality releases. It's true. There is nothing but very poor CAM quality reelases since a while ago now. Even for some poor CAM releases it takes a few days after the movies are out.
Back in the days groups would release very good quality releases but I guess all the good groups have vanished. So really the only time something good comes out is when the movies are about to hit DVD.

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
It's not movie season It's tv show season. I don't think I've downloaded a 2007 movie in at least a month, yet I've pretty much been downloading 5+ tv shows a day on Sunday through Friday..
-
Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
you people can't expect quality releases of movies that don't have dvd or screeners out. from what source do you expect those movies to be ripped from? :)

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
Meh! that's why I have a PVR and free satellite. If I want to see a certain TV show I just set it to record what I want. I think I'm the only one that doesn't watch much TV at all even though I get every single channel haha. I hear people talking about Prison Break and Heroes and other shows and I have not watched one single episode of those and don't feel like it. I stick to Southpark, Family guy and American Dad. Yeah I really don't watch TV at all except for movies and those 3 shows.
I think that Transformers and Superbad were pretty good movies this summer. But not many kick ass movies came out this summer for sure.

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
Isn't it cause the movies are not good that the release groups lost interest? Just like species-the awakening. I could only find the DVDr in rtshq. I don't know if it was in other trackers i don't have. Hope there will be some good releases in December, as there is usually a boom of stuff released after Christmas.

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
I know there has not been many good movies as of late, but I heard a couple great movies that should have been out , that are not.
Superbad, Rush Hour 3, The Kingdom, Ratatouille, ect.
There have been movies out that people can put on the scene but I was wondering why are they not putting any out? I do not think it is as simple as saying they are not interested.
bump, I want some answers!!!

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
Time, Its all time. If you put an egg in a pan is it ready straight away ? nope.
Studio's keep stuff the the theatre as long as its making money, a scene grp cant simply turn round and pre a dvdrip 1month after its rls now can it ?
And those of you who mentions Transformers etc. The scene atm is preing shitty R4 sources with no quality at all... so the R1/2 grps dont bother releasing since it dupes.
-
Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
I thought the labling scheme was designed for this. So that if a R4 was released, a real group would still upload a good R1 release, since it is in fact, different and better?
Maybe I'm wrong, but why is a R1 considered a dupe of a R4-R5 release?

Whats diff between R5, R1, R2...
which ones are the normal DVDs i.e The final ones...
Well last time heard Die Hard 4 DVD was released but i aguess the version isnt final and a better version is expected in late december...
Is that true ?
If yes then how do we judge that which is the Final and Best Release..

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
@mad555
Most of those movies have been released but the I think they been cam's or TS's so the quality varies greatly.
@Tokeman
R5 releases are compared more to a screnner/TC source then a real R1, so an R1 release cant be considered a dupe when an R5 is already out.
@Saroman
you want the best copy always wait for the R1 since that will be a US retail source which I believe has the video cleaned up and 5.1 audio.

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
I really miss Centropy and maVen they always released high quality telesyncs very fast after a good movie hit the theatres.

Re: Where have all the "scene" groups been for the past 2 months?
