wayyyyyyyyy to expensive...
very very cheap, bargain in my opinion
@nikmash232, too expensive?? the best base package costs $30/month, thats cheap as hell!
and you can add 10gb in increments of $5/month also.
what i want to know is if it is good service, etc..
@mr. mystery
exactly what i'm thinking, im just not sure about the service itself ya know?
EDIT: im starting to think that all the tf accounts use a shared 100mbit line, so maybe thats the reason for it being so cheap..?
Don't go for torrentflux hosts they sux..Vps is a much better option..!!
@Ghost+Rider,
thanks for the input, if i might ask, why do you think they suck? is it shared bandwith or what?
thanks
Vps is certainly an advantage to torrentflux, Vps offers more bandwidth and is a more stable system.
The shared 100 Mbit line sux..The torrentflux hosts never can be used for seeding at private trackers
They are for ppl who use public trackers So they can easily transfer stuff to their PC...Torrentflux hosting can nver be used for seeding@ private trackers with less peers
U must better go for a vps and install flux on that if u find torrentflux comfortable :D
Ghost+Rider, thats the first time ive seen someone quoting themselves, congratulations, your special.
thanks a lot for your recommendations guys, ill definitely look into a vps for this.
leaseweb a good option?
yes donvito, leaseweb is a marvellous option.
cool, thanks a lot, ill definitely look into it :]
Very overpriced.
Get a VPS from Keyweb or Hosting-IE.
thanks also fibre, im just interested in what other people have had good experience with, but price is also important
what linux distro would you guys recommend? i know that at the level of use im gonna be using for, it wont matter much but the general choices are usually: debian, redhat, fedore, ubuntu, and suse.
i think that torrentflux is compatible regardless of distro, but im not sure.
also, sorry for double post
EDIT: i consider myself, fairly educated with basic/intermediate linux use
30$PM for 200Gb BW
thats expensive, I used to pay something like that on VPS for a 1TB BW, the only think i can see why this is expensive is because it offers CP.
ahh, i see now why nikmash was saying it was expensive, the bandwith is counted for dls also, yea that is expensive.
it is not expensive, you cant just calculate the bandwidth alone, as it is a better quality service considering many things, mostly explained in coding and such terms which i cant post here because it will bore you to death, but you get the picture hopefully.
well BW is THE most important thing if not THE only thing to consider when getting a Seedbox.
thanks to everyone for the constructive conversation, good info :]
