Whoa!! Thats alot of Virus's!

i'd worry that your Anti-Virus Software hadn't dealt with those already, i've always thought a virus scan was to catch any that slipped under the radar, but 551 files? The very few times i've encountered a virus it's been quarantined and dealt with right away.
Hell that's a truely infected system
there has to be some mistake, surely
When was the last time you checked?
Did you get them quickly?
Rather you than me mate.
Neil
this is proof that you need to AV scan your computer at least once a week
hang on: 543 cleaned + 7 deleted, doesn't = 551 infected
i had problems with my virus scan so i hadn't installed it but that is nowQuote:

Only 39461 files scanned??
When I run a scan it checks over 200,000 files. :o
Either you don't have much on your system, or it's not checking very deep.
there isn't that much on my system but it's checking every directry
You need to get a real time virus scanner.
one time like a year ago i bought norton antivirus,i hadnt had a virus scanner for 3 years!!!
and i was dumb and tryed downloading things like AIM password hacks and stuff and i had over 2000 viruses no joke i had to format because allmost every exe on my pc was infected!!!

554 files infected hahaha thats nothing compared to mine
i had every single file in my hard drive infected about 44,000 files includiong my
temporary internet files but they couldnt infect my c:\windows folder or my
c:\winnt folder because they both have 1,024 BIT incription so you cant modifie
and thing in those folder without know 6 different passwords
the only reason i had so many infected becasue it was a spreader virus and i had left my compter on during vaction and wen i came back my norton anit virus was going crazy
