help, my IP adress banned on Waffles, but the torrents still work on my seedbox??!!
OKAY WTF. So, I wake up today and og to Waffles and am greeted by
"403 Forbidden
Unauthorized IP address."
All I've been doing is trying to seed to the site, and I uploaded one6 albums, one of which was bad because it was a "live recording" or something like that. CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME?! I am a loving member of this community and Waffles, and would like to know whats up. The wierd part is how all the torrents work on my seedbox. SO it looks like the acc isn't banned... Just my IP?
*edit just looged in there fine wiht remote connection on my seedbox.
*edit2, im on it through my home connection, but I have 2 use a proxy.

I can only assume they suspect someone else on your IP cheating.
If they've banned your IP without disabling your account that's pretty stupid. The fact that they banned an IP without giving a warning first is strange, I know members who have uploaded poor rips and have only received a warning.

well actually I uploaded 2 reips. The quality was fine, they just didn't meet some nit picky rules, like no "live" recordings.
I remember my acc was warned, but its not even warned now, Just home IP is blocked.

I have never seen a tracker ban a ip addy and not disable the account...

I bet those "nit picky" rules have something to do with why you were banned. They are there for a reason.

I WASN'T BANNED PPL!! don't say that, its just something wierd they did withmy IP.

I'd ask them in their irc channel if I were you, if you can browse the site through the seedbox you can find the irc info on the site :) Not a member so I can help you with that info.

Then how about the staff page, maybe you can write a PM :) If they have a forum I'd search it for "irc" many sites have a sticky with the irc info in it!

If my previous comment isn't correct (about another person/s using your IP) I'd guess it was a newb mod using the Ban IP- Yes/No option instead of the Enabled - Yes/No

Of course you can try to change your IP address (depending on your provider, a new dialin/router or modem reboot should be enough) but aren' you curious why your IP got banned? If I were you I'd try to clear that up.

That isn't "nit picky". Morons that upload that shit and try to pass them off as "Unplugged" recordings, etc. should be banned.
Some of us are audiophiles and like rare recordings and high quality, not the musical equivalent of a "cam" movie recording. Even those who aren't, shouldn't be duped into downloading bootlegs and the like.
I've already snatched numerous torrents from Waffles that I've reported for the same reasons. Perhaps one of them was yours. What were you trying to upload?
