wouldn't it be nice if every priv. tracker was merged into 1?

AM I dreaming or what, the best selection, no more having to check on countless trackers. just 1 tracker to take care of a ratio. It would be incredible, a huge community. A nice balance of seedboxes and healthy leechers. Am I the only one for this idea?

It's the worst idea ever. If there was only one tracker there would be no bittorrent scene right now because the only tracker that existed would have already been taken down by the authorities.
I also prefer small communities over big ones so a massively big tracker like this wouldn't really work for me.

Different trackers are much like different food - there's French food, Italian, Chinese, hearty German food and of course there's USA's own fast food, lol. What I'm trying to say is plainly that these flavors don't work together and they shouldn't need to try.

Aside from many troubles spared each tracker is also an important part of the much talked about 'hydra' because what would a bittorrent community be with one single private tracker? I don't even want to think about that.

it already happened. deminoid + oink == almost everything shared on the entire net.

Terrible, terrible idea. It would be like Demonoid, but even more thinned out and full of lamers flaming and spamming up the joint. That, plus rampant, unchecked cheating.

I'm sure you'd feel right at home.

What would really be nice is an interface for the torrents released on all of your favorite sites. Only one torrent site would be terrible.

decentralisation is good .. and if all these private trackers merged it would make the job of these anti piracy agency easier .. one hit and its all gone .. :D

In a pirate's ideal world this would be awesome.
All your files in one place, you don't have to search lots of sites,
seeding is no problem, speeds are fast, etc.

Never gonna happen and I hope it never does

its not possible some site are specialized in music some 0 day its not possible to merge all of them but good idea though

it´s a bad idea. however it would be nice to have a plugin to mozilla to search all your trackers at once ^^

Lets make it easier for the RIAA & MPAA to focus on one site. And don't forget our friends people who didn't get invited, so they can focus their DDOS attacks on the site also.
