How frequent are inactive account pruned ? How long did it take to you to register with this crazy 17,000 limit?
I believe its 42 days.
But I only had to wait about 30 minutes for a spot to open up when I was invited a few days ago.
well it depends i waited for mine 1 day,keep waiting and try many times per day.
how long does the invite stay active?

i simply did not know, will not do it again and I will try trackerspy.
btw. how do you use check4change in firefox?
@ Polar, do you know if Xtreme Users get pruned for inactivity? I couldn't see it in the FAQs.
does anybody have spytracker or smth that helps you to keep track on any open slots?

How exactly use check4change in ff ? Simply click on your invitation link, then get: "The current user account limit (17,000) has been reached. Inactive accounts are pruned all the time, please check back again later..."
and select "17,000" and check for change? would it work ?

Disabled accounts are pruned after 2 weeks. Few accounts are pruned every hour. A invite which is sent but haven't been used after 3 days will be returned to the inviter. There is an average of 100 Unconfirmed users (invites sent but not used up) ... So theres a long line to wait in. The userbase MIGHT be increasing soon, so keep those fingers crossed. :)
does anybody have any way to check when there is a open slot without clicking on the invitation link? check4change in ff doesnt seem to work and torrent spy is for MAC...
With check4change, highlight an area of text and then right-click, set it to something like 15 seconds and wait. It might not seem like it works, but it is. Also, make sure you turn it off once you get an invite sign-up page, as it will keep refreshing and that could be bad if you aren't fast.

Good luck to you when I give out invites I usually do the checking for the invitee as its easier to check when your a member!
