ftn request

umm wha should i write to get into ftn?
im sure that's what everybody thinks when they make an ftn request and then just write a bunch of bs in a 2000+ word composition to get an invite or maybe to get a few good responses from felloe users. i', not going to tdo that but just put it as simply as this and write it in three a few short words.
i would be very happy if someone invited me to the tracker because:
A) i am looking fo a nice community
B)no ratio(upload) for 36 hours rule i have a slow connection
please no spam :)

It is making so boring starting day by day many treads about FTN.

Why doesn't FST have an official stickied FTN request thread? Always have it at the top, everybody who wants to request FTN could use that thread and only that thread. You could have a few of them stickied at the top: The Official TT Request Thread, The Official ScT Request Thread, etc etc.

I know that idea has probably been thrown around a dozen times, but I'm suprised it hasn't stuck.

Well maybe cuz there will be over a 1000 pages in that thread and the inviter won't prolly be able to judge on who he wants to invite. Think about it.....if u had an invite for FTN would u go through a 1000 pages to check who deserves one??

but it would sure save alot of headaches of ftn threads being created everyday

Yeah but it would be to no help for anyone......soo what's the point??

Because each one is unique and should be assessed on its merits, as with every other tracker request.

To lump them all together would be disingenuous to the creative requesters and would most probably just lead to the whole thread being ignored completely.

generally if you dont trade and try to be helpful here and are active you dont even have to ask anyone for FTN. i got invited from someone i didnt even know and had never talked to at that point and i never made a thread either, be patient.

Yeah, I've had the same thing happen to me a few times at another forum (not for FTN but for a few very good trackers, even a Level 7). It's always a very pleasant surprise when it happens.

Guess I'll have to gradually build my good name here too.

That actually happened to me recently as well. Just have to be reptutable and patient. Still believe in requesting as well though.

bump... i know i haven't been active recently got court marshaled in the army couldn't leave my base for the last 2 weeks :(
