part of me is scared of demonoid now... that long break down... then it comes back... i dont know. something doesnt sit well with me anymore with demonoid :/

ive been reading the temp forums they have setup, and theres no real news to report about the site coming back
i downloaded a few things of a public site that was from demonoid tracker
tracker was running always, mostly DHT stuff..
all demonoid torrents on public indexes are working perfectly
it will eventually come back.. as usual

Where is the PirateBay hosted, they seem pretty invincible.
I'm in Canada, and absolutely loved demonoid, but paranoid me thinks that since the cria took em down, they possibly took over their tracker and now logs everyone that connects. Although downloading is legal here, anyone found uploading is in shit. I prefer private torrents, am a member of a few that give great downloads of movies, but am in need of sites with virus free good programs, and games for ps2 and pc. Demonoid rocked for everything.
They look because the clever owners of the healthy site. Where the site is put up it has nothing to do with them. They now even want to have an own program to withdraw the things of there!! They are great clever!!Quote:

The tracker is not down, it has been working for weeks, just enable DHT and seeders will show up.
I have a hard time understanding why the tracker still works, but the site doesn't.
if you have to enable dht, the the tracker is not working. The whole point of a tracker is to connect peers, DHT is an alternative, allowing peers to find eachother.
