I've read a few posts about this on other forums so I decided to check for myself. TL's site is now hosted on a server with the IP 63.251.92.19 but their tracker is located in Malaysia.
Does anyone know why they would move their Website to a U.S. based server?

@zedex - this is a forum you know. People do like to talk about things. Funny that. If you think it's somehow a security leak then you clearly dont understand that this info is freely available. You dont need to come to FST to find out a website's IP.
On topic: As far as I see 63.251.92.19 is registered to Orbit Sciences Corporation. Torrentleech.org is at 203.121.110.243 which is hosted in Malaysia.
Zeus, you made me second guess myself so I ran my own tracert and ping and Torrentleech.org resolves to the IP address 64.74.96.241. I had previously used network-tools.com to ping Torrentleech.org. The IP address you posted belongs to the server being used for TL's tracker, not their Website.
vinhkhang01, I agree that it's more important to have the tracker in a more secure location but without a Website it will be impossible to find the torrent files. I realize that other large torrent trackers are located in the U.S. but given TL's high profile it seems strange that they are hosting it in a hostile country.

the important thing is data and speed
and TL have great content and good speed

If you're using collocated server hosting your site can still be shutdown since your host is indeed in the U.S.
torrentleech.org and www.torrentleech.org are different things
Interesting. Since the www isn't needed and they both resolve to the same Website, what is the advantage of routing one of them differently?
