newest ofc and the ones that are to be considered popular and waited for (newest games, movies), it almost always works
Just look if it's Heroes or PP :P
Highest seeded are the worst. Lots of leechers and few seeders.
And like stated above get on the popular movie and game releases ASAP and you will be happy.
Oh...i have always gone by the highest seeded...this is why i ask!
size = max (usually in 50+ GB have few seeds and more number of leechers) and ofcourse through RSS ;)
well yes newest torrent always have many leechers and seeders,but there also could be find some torrents that need seeders aslo on older torrents..so its very easy to know if some torrent will have both seeders and leechers(games,tv show,movies)
I always sort the leechers, then look for a torrent with size >1GB & < 5GB

yes, but if you found a torrent with many leechers but only has 1 seeder, look closely to the peer listing if you do have access to that and make sure that's still enough leecher that has just started their download, means below 20-30% completed. Also you have to be sure that you have a great connection speed in that case.
but if you have just a home connection up speed, then look for the torrent with many leechers, but also has enough seeders on it
I have a good connection...but it's such a slow upload i get!!!! My upload should be at least 60kb/s, but i get a lot less than that. So whats the best way for me to search for good ratio torrents? Btw...is it best for me to get music albums or sets, or just plain old tracks?
imo if your not jumping on a brand new torrent you know is going to be popular it's best to look for a torrent with a good mix of seeders and leechers. If you go for the one with the most leaches you're likely to get caught short. Many times those leechers are in fact partial seeders and won't be downloading anything off of you.

also if you want to boost your ratio just download a torrent from a site that's easy to seed at and help seed it on another site...just make sure it's exactly the same.
If you're having slow upload speeds might want to check that your ports are forwarded properly as well that's often the problem.
a trick is to grab what you want the second it hits the tracker and seeding it for over a month. even with a slow upload your ratio will go above 1 because most of the people with the seed boxes want to hit and run so if someone wants to download the rls a month after it hits the site they will have to download from you since you will be one of the only seeds left.

Try upping something. If you don't get full speed on a new torrent where you are the only seed, then you are definitely being throttled

the chart lists the isps then lists how they throttle and what to do to eliminate the throttle.
i'll give you a little hint on how to read the table: look for your ISP then READ IT.

For music sites I've just joined, while I still have low beginning ratios, I look at the torrents that have been snatched the most by clicking on the snatch column sorting header. I then keep an eye out for the most recently uploaded torrents of the same popular artist(s) that has been released this year or last year and try to download it before most of the other leechers so I can be one of the first to seed back to all the rest of them. This usually works very well. Plus, I get introduced to talent I never would have otherwise heard.
