Read it. The film's crap.
I dislike that book very much. Personally, I don't think it's a very good book. However, the film is substantially worse, and it doesn't really even do a half-decent job of explaining the story.
:ninja:
Agree's it is one of the few books i was made to read for an english class and i actually kinda enjoyed it...then i watched the film after i read it and it was nothing like i was imaging while reading it...Quote:

hahaha talk about coincidence.
I just watched the show last night, was filmed on public TV.
The starting was capturing, then it just started to suck. I haven't read the book, fortunately/unfortunately. ;)
damit, luks like il have to read it!
im too lazy though so its gonna be freakin miracle if i read it all
Lord of the Flies reminds me a lot of The Crucible. I love the writing but the story is so depressing that its sometimes hard to go on reading it.
ARGHH WE READ THE CRUCIBLE.!!
IT WAS BORING!
I STILL GOT A B+ in the essay
Someone here needs to invest in some Cliff notes..
And that's the problem with people today.

however be sure to go to GreyLib and look around. *lots* more books there.
I just did a search on Kazaa and got about 50 sources for it. Try searching again. Maybe change your supernode.
read the book, i had to read it for english over twenty years ago and found it rather good, which surprised me as i hated reading at that age. it's probably one of the books that got me into reading for pleasure. :)
Thank you, Neil. My thoughts exactly.Quote:

I'm not much of a one for allegory but as a 16 year old this struck several chords.
I read it when i was 14, and i just found it soo depressing.
edit--
but i guess its a reflection of humanity, so it is kind of true.
awwww man Go ahead and watch both the original (black & white) and the remake. If you haven't read the book you won't be dissappointed. The movies are not bad at all. If you notice almost EVERYONE that reads the book first says the movie sucked. Remember Pet Sematary. Well I thought the movie was great. I read the book AFTER. The book was good too. Consequently, everyone who read that book said the movie actually SUCKED (of course this book came out first).
Personally I watch movies over reading books (just don't have the time to read fiction).
