I find foobar cluttered with junk I have no use for.
Winamp is great with loads of mods, plugins, and skins.

winamp is my vote. :)
Use to use Winamp, but after i tried out Oinkbar (modified version of foobar) i switched. Having the same look of itunes with less memory usage of winamp was enough for me to switch.
I think Foobar sounds better and I like the way it handles multiple playlists.
You can easily see which playlist is playing ! I have lots of playlists, so this is important to me.
Winamp seemed to spent all of their development time on skins, whilst skins are nice to look at, they should not be the main focus of a music player !
Have many of you used the latest version Foobar 0.9.5 ?
It has a new User Interface option which make sit easy to layout playlists, albumbs etc.

Although i didnt try foobar,for me winamp is good player,and is doing work,so my vote goes for winamp

I like foobar's interface better plus I think it uses less system resources than Winamp
I use foobar. I think it sounds better and I like how you can change the interface in a million different ways...though yes it is a pain in the arse to customize but once you have it set up it rocks.

Winamp...I've used both and I use Winamp mostly because there are more features and it works very well with my iPod.
I started using foobar beacuse winamp screwed up my scene releases a long time ago and still using it, so my answer is foobar.
I use Winamp, cuz don't have lot of options and stuff, it has only necesaries...

winamp, im not good enough to manage my album art for foobar skins
I have to go with Winamp, but i guess if i spend a few minutes setting up foobar ill probobly never go back to winamp. But i have been using winamp (classical skin) for the last 10 years now. So i guess im kinda dependent on it now :D
I have been using winamp for few years now. I guess I should give footbar a try, when i get some free time...
I recently switched from winamp to foobar and I must say I dont think Im going back anytime soon. It took about 5 seconds to start winamp, even with classic skin and I stripped all of the useless plugins which was all of the plugins. Foobar on the other hand starts up in about a second and can be customized a lot if you want to.
I used foobar for a long time and I really like it... But I had to constantly fix my configuration and had some oter minor problems and got bored of it! Now, I just love Winamp!

even with added configs n stuff it hardly takes anytime to open up....

Yeah it's great how you cant tons of plugins to foobar and it still opens up as fast as without them. Cant say same for winamp.Quote:

Edit: Pretty decent player, default skin looks cheapo, doesn't have mini mode which I love about winamp. Foobar is OK, but I've been using winamp for ages, going to take a good player to get me away.

I voted for winamp. I tried foobar like a year ago, but the thing is too complex..all the plugins, the customizing options, preferences...etc. I just want a Audio player :) I'm sure it's a cool app..but I'm not giving up my winamp 3 for anything atm
If you only want audio player, then isnt basic foobar good? I use the basic layout with album list and its great. I dont really use album art plugins or something that slows it down. Keep it fast and clean.
If you want skin with very nice eyecandy then check out the FofR link below. It provides DL links to plugins and tells you if you're missing something. Very easy to install.
