Not using p2p
Peer Guardian.
Firewall
NAT Router.
Proxy Server.
K++ Privacy Option.
Simple. Just not downloading music as much I really don't care for music like I used to. When I first got my comp i was already 3000 mp3s and rising. So there really no reason to be scared cause the only way u get in trouble with them is downloading music files. Me myself I use BT most of the time until I can't find something on there then i search kazaa 8 times out of 10 i find what i'm looking for here
*BBBBZzzzzzt!* WRONG! You are only a target for the RIAA if you UPLOAD ILLEGAL MP3s. They are going after those who are OFFERING copywritten music for others to download.Quote:

Argh! :pirate:
Ok, this aint a pop quiz about the riaa, and I am not wrong because once you download your going to share it unless your a leech so quit thinking u know everything Mr. Expert on RIAA
Yes, you do share the files, however, if you have the privacy option checked, no one can see what they are. I am no expert, and I am not acting as one, but I do know what I am talking about. The RIAA is going after the UPLOADERS who have their files listed and not downloaders (who are sharing) who don't. I don't leech. I play it safe by not listing my files.
Argh! :pirate:
Ok, now thats cleared up that conversation should be over.
Cool....sorry if I sounded like a smartass or know-it-all. :)Quote:

where is the privacy option in k-lite?
I would use a proxy server if only I could understand the instructions for setting it up on my computer. :angry: <confused>
i was trying to get one..except well I had the same problem like u.....they can't make it a bit easier by step by step
Go to options, then k++ options, and in the privacy box check the box where it says users can't get a list of your shared files. You will still be sharing but they won't be able to see the list of what you have. If you dont want to be a leech and make ppl angry make sure the box for disabling sharing is not marked. If everyone marked that then there would not be any p2p.
Right so let me get this straight, the RIAA cannot touch you if you have the privacy enabled?
