Am sick and tired of all these threads about who listens to this and that when they are doing something.Might as well break this one out and get all the Emotions out of the way. :rolleyes:
When I am Drunk on Colt 45 I like to listen to Lynard Skynard's "Free Bird" or just about anything done by them. B)

Hmmm... as for me... the last time I was drunk was watching hockey (it's been a while) soooo I would have to say, the Canadian National Anthem. :lol:
But seriously, it depends, sometimes I get drunk and hyper, and have to put on AC/DC or the like, sometimes I need to chill to some Floyd or even the Eagles. I like to reminisce when I drink. Pretend I'm still young and irresponsible. ;)

i get in different moods, but one song that really gets me is Frontier Psychologist by The Avalanches (i started another thread a while back asking if anyone knew any others like that). Led Zeppelin is also nice, and Dio's Holy Diver. i could go on and on
it all depnds how you're intoxicated but generally i'll listen to anything with tha Mike Paton edge...

Usually I stay out of these sorts of threads, as I'm trying to keep my substance-using days behind me.
I thought I'd make an exception this time, just long enough to mention an experience I had when I was about 18, under the influence of lysergic acid. I sat at the top of the stairs at home for over an hour, just listening to the various creaking and droning noises (furnace, etc.) being made by the house itself. I thought it was the most amazing thing I'd ever heard. Although it was fairly stimulating at that time, this experience has left me rather skeptical of any claims of musical greatness pertaining to bands such as the Grateful Dead or Phish, whose fan base tends to listen while high. Since just about anything sounds cool when you're tripping (and in my experience the same is largely true for cannabis as well), how can you tell what's good?
But, for the record, here are my choices:
Stoned, I'd have to go with Kula Shaker, as well as most of the previous selections mentioned.
Usually, when drunk (as in "highly bitter" drunk), I find Cracker does the trick.
Tripping? hmm... I'd have to go for nearly anything, but Portishead and the Doors are worth mentioning.
