Which Is Better , Warez or Bit torrent?

I don't see the difference of a Warez site and a Torrent site, I mean, they're both illegal, just a few ways different, because torrents seem to be more troublesome because they need to use a client and the shizz.

I don't think Warez wins too, because oftentimes, Warez files are infected so you have to get a good antivirus before deciding to get into a warez site, but I think some fake torrent uploads are infected too right?

But by the speed, Warez is depending on your net connection, if it's slow, then the download will be very slow, while Torrents rely on the people who seed them and who leech.

So tell me, which one do you prefer, Torrents or Warez?

Personally, I'll go for torrents, coz' they're much safer IMO but not really sure.

i hate to break it to you, but a privately owned FTP is way more secure than bitorrent in many ways. you cant beat heavy duty encryption :)

I use both and why not , what one does n't have the other might . I'm even thinking of nzb ,yet to try it . I like the Rapidshare sites for content but hate the split rars and speed .

both ways have their advantages and disadvantages
as warez sites are mostly some rapidshare-like uploads, u would need a rs premium account to use it without frustration. just like torrents (private trackers) if you don't have a good home line/can't leave pc for hours of seeding then u should get a seedbox.

i like torrents becoz u can stop and cout them wen u want.

I'm with peat moss, I go wherever I can find what I want. I check Usenet first, then search for rapidshare links, then private bittorrent sites, and finally public bittorrent sites (hasn't happened in a while).

But for browsing with nothing in mind, I prefer bittorrent.

I agree w/ you mbucari1 but searching rapidshare is so hard,when i'm looking for something, my first stop is TPB and then some of the private trackers and last (which I'd preffer not to use but if I have no choice I will use..) LimeWire . Google is good too when you know how to search ;)

Bit torrent.

I usually use RS sites, because I can't use torrents with my supercool uni connection. To be honest, on most popular warez boards, I have never found anything malicious packed into any archive. It's usually fairly straightforward, if there is anything malicious anywhere, then someone else has more than likely reported it, or left a comment saying they had problems.

BT is coming in handy for me now on my new server, there isn't the 25gb per 5 days limit that RS has :)

I`m on the torrents side...

Warez board for ... well, you know warez, torrent for movies and music, DC++ for hard-to-find-mp3s and ebooks.

Warez sites usually have slow/overloaded maybe also unreachable servers, or the new trend they do pack content on One-Click-hosters like Rapidshare, outsourcing the hosting business. I think you meant those "direct download" sites publicly available, the so called web-warez pages, which I also meant by writing this. Those sites usually link to each others, and I find them to be a bit spammed, opaque, commercial.

Open Torrent sites like ThePirateBay depend on people seeding, if there are fair fellows than you can usually get the files better- at least if your own upload is not extremely poor to the extreme.

The question is also if you can call using Rapidshare "direct downloading" from "warez sites". There are of course boards containing many useful Rs links, and having an account for their servers you can leech fast. But this phenomena is actually even newer than p2p and something new and different, although most people trying to use 'direct warez servers' in the past shifted over to Rs/Megaupload etc. I would say former warez sites is something different than Rapidshare Boards.

If you don't have a premium account on the hosters to leech off properly, then for bigger multi split file releases I would give torrent a go, although they are not more secure if the 'rogue guys' are swapping in the torrent you download. Anyway this is all a very wide discussion, and it really also depends on your choice.

Good point about the comments , as I always read what others say about quality or problems first . On some RS sites you can tell by a members post count on whither its worth the D/L or not .

Searching for RS stuff isn't too bad. I almost always find what I'm looking for withing 2 google searches. I've learned a few tricks that aid in rapidshare searching with google.

Same here PM, always read the replies for forum links.

I've also found that there are a lot of blogs with links, and I've yet to find an infected blog file.

I think both have their advantages and disadvantages. But like mbucari1 said, if you have nothing in mind and you want to watch something torrents are great although some of the RS blogs I frequent have a lot of stuff on display so that could work as well. But yeah, i frequent torrent trackers more than RS blogs, except ofcourse release-log which is an everyday thing.

Some good RS blogs are rslinks and rapidshareking, both get some pretty rare stuff.

i also like warez better, its just a preference

I've used both and right now I'm using BT + Usenet and it's working out fine. I'm not using my RS account as much because I have a harder time finding the latest stuff, full DVDs, rare CDs that I can get on What or Waffles and old games/roms that are readily avaliable on BCG. Hands down though, if you're a porn lover, RS is perfect for you. Even though I love PureTnA, a RS premium account and a pornbb account is bliss.

i think the type of warez that you referred to is the old school type; where warez sites actually hosted the files that you've downloaded, and true this type can be very risky. however, the new type is a completely different world, where files are being hosted in any of direct download servers, and the majority of them are completely secure since it's being distributed through warez forums or blogs. actually, i am rather amazed how some people can actually turn a blind eye on this development, considering that content wise it could rival both bt and usenet, and security wise; it's actually very secure and anonymous since download links are given specific links, thus there is no risk of our isp throttling our connections due to excessive downloading activities

Now,Bittorrents is the best...but in 3-4 years...who knows...

I prefer torrents.

I only use free rapidshare and warez for small stuff like programs etc. I quit the premium services some time ago since the speeds and limits where getting hilarious as my ISPs speed was getting faster.
