ok when you hear of a movie being made, you see all of the actors and the children wich is this is a horror movie, you want to go see this movie in the theater, but you have to be a cretain age, but on the other hand you have 5 to 10 yr olds if not younger in movies like freddy, and pet semetary, now if they wanted to make some money lower that age limit! lol ne one agree?

lol i know they are NOT for kids, but why can KIDS be in them? they get to see the gruesome up close, well not the specail effects but they get the picture, im sure they get a specail version of the film when done making it, and they get to watch it most likley, i am only 16 so this sucks cant wait for freddy vs jason so i will just download it, but AHHHHHHHHHH the theaters are always so mych better! and you dont have to wait! to watch it! lol

Ya everyone says something about porn is bad or something well i've been watching rated x films since i was 8; you can thank that to the cheap hotel i went to. Ya PBS sure..... and about rated R films, i don't see any harm in nudity or violence aslong you child an't one of those trouble makers

hybrid, that was so funny! damn i havent laughed like that in a while, ne ways, i just feel that if you dont see rated r in a movie, then you will see it down the block, so i just dont get it, i dont think it is like it was before, kids dressing up like scream killing thier parents n shit, its more they grow older and go crazy, you cant blame movies for our actions, but people will do it so they can please insanity and get time in the hospitol like that bitch andrea yates, in the institution, if she was black she would be in prison for life! because like for me, my mom said i used to watch freddy all the time, i would come up to her with freddy movie, and i didntt even know how to read yet and to this day, im lovin those movies to dream death! lol, ok not funny :rolleyes:

i never really understood the american terminaolgy for the rating of movies.
in the uk it is simple
U = Unviersal (all ages)
PG= Parental Guidance (suitbale for all but sum parents may prefer their kids not to watch it)
12 = over 12's
15= over 15's
18= over 18's
you can watch any film at anyage as long as your parent consents to it, it is just illegal to buy/rent or pay for the film until you reach the required ages.
out of interest, what are the laws regardin ages for drinking/smoking/driving and having sex in america (obviously not doing all for at once.. although it would be a quality time)

For PG13, you don't have to have a parent with you. It just says may not be suitable for children under 13. They still let you in.

Have you ever been Carded in a theatre?? I mean I have never even heard of anyone getting ID'd in a movie theatre. Except for Jackass, i got carded for that but so did like 50 year old men. How hard to you think movie theatre people are gonna look at your id anywat. Just doctor it or get a fake. Not too hard, especially one that will pass at a movie theatre.

Dude, I kind of like it when I get carded for flicks. I'm almost 21, so it's not really a problem for me.
When the theater asks for IDs to R rated movies, it keeps the giggling, talking, and interruptive 13 year olds away.
There are a few places that don't card, and when I see an R rated movie there's always that LARGE group of kids who take up an entire row of seats, and during the whole flick there is laughing, throwing popcorn and just a bunch of bullshti coming from them
When I saw Matrix Reloaded on May 14, a group of kids had adults buy tickets for them, BUT THEY DIDN'T GET IN because they were underage!!!!! I fuckin laughed
