I have a question I am starting from scratch i need to build a computer annyway can anyone recomend how to build a computer that can play games like crysis,and the club at there highest capabilities with 1000 to 1500 dollars never built a gaming comp. b4 any help is help:frusty:
To play Crysis at the highest settings you'll be spending over a thousand bucks on the video cards alone.

see my config in my water cooling post. that wont do it for full settings, but it pretty damn good for 1100 bucks (on newegg w/o water cooling). the of course u need to add a monitor, input devices, and maybe a soundcard
what does full capabilities mean for games?
All settings maxed
ex. extra high detail, v-sinc on, 8x AA/AF, etc

The platform core (board, chip, RAM) is exactly what I just ordered for myself (and I already have that PSU, DVD burner and soundcard).
For best results, I'd recommend XP Pro x64 as the OS and I assume you can handle that yourself (nudge, nudge, wink, wink...).
Good, now what game did you want to play?? Obviously you can not max out Crysis, even COD4 could be a stretch depending on what framerates you were looking to get...Quote:

Clocker that motherboard seems to have decent 7.1 audio on-board. If he is just gaming I would not recommend him a $140 sound card.
Is that one of those fore-arm-sized video cards? I suppose it will not fit in a MidATX case eh? Why not go cheaper on the case? Perhaps..this?

Also I wasn't sure about the E8400 chip because of the heat issues I have been having and reading about Clocker but if these things turn out to be no biggie than that would be a better chip
