Powerscene will close signups

Well I hope everyone is enjoying the uploads,the forums,the chat and of course the staff http://www.powerscene.org/pic/smilies/wink.gif

As you will have seen, the number of users of the site has, quite literally, shot through the roof!

Because of this we have made a decision to go invite only as of the 1st March. This means that there will be fewer cheats getting through the system allowing the speeds of downloads/seeding to improve greatly for you all.

The changes that you are going to see happening in the run up to the invite only introduction will be the following:

-pruning of inactive accounts
-the end of the free leech
-HnR's being hit hard back http://www.powerscene.org/pic/smilies/wink.gif

Should you have any queries in regards to this or any further questions please dont hesitate to contact any of the members of staff either through pm or through our irc chat which is accessible by clicking the IRC button at the top middle of the screen.

Do you think this newcomer could be better than SCL and iTS???

In my opinion they are better! I like the design a lot and has an amazing preetimes and loads of new releases everyday.:naughty:

In the other hand it's underrated nobody speaks about them ... it reminds me to the mentioned scl and its when scl had open sign ups and a its staff offered invites in the invite section some months ago... now everybody wants an account!
So don't say I didn't tell you...:shifty:
Moreover the staff it's fiendly.
With this new thread just want to spread the tracker url and not against their rules.

well from the signup page it looks like the design is one of those open source ones, i forget the name. don't see anything good about the design if you're comparing it to SCL or iTS..

This is the same site that jumped into TL's IRC and started spamming the hell out of it. You have been promoting your site in the worst ways possible - at the expense of other trackers.

God damn. I'm sick of powerscene's spamming; this is being done everywhere with no discretion. Could mods possibly ban this site's URL from being displayed?

Strange way to get popular.

it's not my site. neither I'm a staff
I'm not looking for the 5gb's, I really don't like to get ratio increased this way if there is no people to leech from... you know... just because I like the site... if you don't like ok don't signup, nobody puts a gun in your head.
I'm a normal user that don't want to be rich posting this in forums at bittorrent section.

That's why I like the site, because they open signups and have nothing against that people know the url, that's the function of a tracker. Only want GOOD users and that's why I posted here there is a better place?
As you can see like scl, its and recently pisexy (with the open signups), a tracker that want to be "famous" only has to close signups so don't blame them.

The sysop of TL had a talk with your sysop about the kind of things you were trying to pull and it seemed to stop. Both you and freethescene.net have obviously been trying to promote your sites, but this isn't the way to get members.

You are utilizing other forums and trackers selfishly and thoughtlessly and these are not tools to do so. This isn't a "torrent tracker advertisement forum."

The problem in this case are your sysops who repeatedly bash other torrent sites' staff, usually out of jealousy.

Banning the URLs for powerscene and freethescene.net will hopefully put an end to the spam accounts; if you are spamming, which you are, you will most likely be dealt with. YOU don't get to decide the rules for your tracker if your ruthlessly and carelessly promoting it through someone else's medium.

Also, your assertion that trackers close signups to be famous is absolutely ridiculous. Trackers close signups to prevent unwanted members from entering, and in doing so, gain notoriety for their "rarity". This characteristic is not decided not influenced by the tracker itself, but other third-parties such as FST.

There is no reason for you to make a new account just to flood the forums about your new tracker other than to get your 5 GB. Maybe you have a slow connection. Or, maybe your just (suspiciously) pimping a site way too hard. Powerscene has lost credibility with every site it has encountered; FST is no exception.

This time I can't agree with you like all the times you posted... I'm here to help out. And seems that you are here for blaming and take "rare" invites ok promote them and probably you will have the chance to get a FTN account. I preffer a powerscene account. But this will happen in the case that you have'nt traded before... how do you explain this EDITED posts??!!

As for if it will become a ScT rival, well who am i to tell the future and i admit i don't think the 5GBs for spamming was truly a good idea, but for a new tracker its got quite a bit of content I smell a good'un
