Dress to Impress - Question
Question: When you wear a sweater over a collar shirt, as in leaving the collars visible under the sweater, do you do the same for the sleeves? Are you supposed to hide the sleeves? expose them? or fold them over your sweater sleeves?
thanks for tips, dressmasters. Help out a noob kthx.

Re: Dress to Impress - Question
odd question...
unsure what you mean..
I take it your talking about the cuff area of the sweater/shirt???? If so, it should definitely be under the sweater. It's nice if a bit of the shirt cuff peeks past the sweater by the cuff but no more than that. Definitey don't bring the shirt cuff over top of the sweater. It would like kind of dorky.

Re: Dress to Impress - Question
bring collar out of sweater and you could do either or, depends on sweater...if the sleeves are too long then dont, if they are just about short enough tug the sleeves for the sweater up a bit and then fold the cuffs over
its the style...i pull it off frequently :D
im quite the dresser if i say so myself :whistling

Re: Dress to Impress - Question
You do whatever is most comfy I reckon
-
Re: Dress to Impress - Question
I would go with either or when it comes to shirt and jumper, unless you want to look like Clark Kent.

Re: Dress to Impress - Question
you should wear a t shirt with an internet related slogan on it, or something 24 related.

I never wear a jumper ($sweater) over a collar shirt

Re: Dress to Impress - Question
The important thing is to ensure the codpiece is adjusted correctly - then the shirt collar/cuffs are largely irrelevant.

Re: Dress to Impress - Question
Let the sleeves show and let your freak flag fly.
As long as you don't ware a long sleeve t-shirt under a short sleeve t-shirt, just about anything goes.
The safest way to dress to impress is as follows: Look at the people you hang around with. Don't dress anything like them.
I'm serious.

Re: Dress to Impress - Question
mmm thx for tips, I went with collar exposed, and shirt cuffs exposed but NOT folded over sweater sleeves.:)
Got lots of compliments, guess this is going to be my style now:D Problem is that now I have to do double the laundry, like:S

I doubt she has. For that you need a pair of baggy combats and a skinny tee, surely?

Was this to impress a lass, I never realised :glag:
Trust me Seedless, if you dressed like that and she didn't laugh you off the plot then she really, really likes you.
You're in like Flynn, mate. Your virginity is at serious risk.

I certainly hope so
She didn't laugh, I don't think:mellow:
Although that is completely tangential to my future bj receiving; maybe she doesn't have a sense of fashion or something:O

It doesn't matter, there is no rhyme or reason, or formality, it just depends on how conservative, or sporty you want to look.
However what you are talking about is called, 'Ivy League Fashion'
Collar out, sleeves down = most conservative look
Collar out, shirt sleeves exposed = a tad less conservative/slight sport look
Collar out, shirt sleeves exposed, sleeves pulled up = the least conservative, most sport look.
Got it? ;)

Re: Dress to Impress - Question
Shit. How do Americans ever get laid?
-
Re: Dress to Impress - Question
It's institutionalised rape, called "prom night".

Re: Dress to Impress - Question
I posted your question in a forum for fashion victims, here's the reply:
Quote:
Personal preference. I like to leave a little bit of cuff showing, a la a suit jacket or sport coat.
Gheyest answer yet innit! wtf is a sport coat?
-
Re: Dress to Impress - Question
Well the personal preference bit, I would agree with. The rest meant nothing to me.

Re: Dress to Impress - Question
As long as you wear a dashing hunting cap, a cane and maybe even a monocle, you can't really go wrong.
