New iPod Movie Tracker

Ok guys...my friend and I are thinking about creating a private iPod movie tracker. We already have our own torrent site now, but it is just for personal use. All the iPod movie torrent sites are all public and they all piss me off cause they are slow and no one seeds.

What I am asking is that if you want a private tracker for iPod movies, leave a post here. We are looking for a general number of how many people will be in this and what kind of server we will need.

(We will also try to accommodate Zune and iPhone people)

I could always use another resource for my ipod, but there isn't really anything out there that I wanna grab currently...And the whole BT, invites, ratio thing is always a turn off for me...but...*resources.

ok when you guys say "mobile" what category is that? 3gp? or just a smaller resolution. I don't have any fancy smart phones, so I don't even know what types they support.

We are going to start working this weekend :-)

Id deffinatley be interested in a tracker with stuff for ipod touch movies especially. It annoys me having to convert xvid's all the time. So i'd sign up.

Well i got a zune for christmas....i havent used it much but i wouldnt mind having a good resource for when i do need it. Although i would like to know who is involved and who is coding the site

besides 3gp videos , apps,smaller resolution,themes etc could also form a part:P
it can be any 3gp,mp4 ,avi videos:D

probably because most vanilla source trackers have more holes than swiss cheese.

Exactly, I dont join many sites anymore (1 in the last 6-8mo) because hacks are rampant, security is a big concern for me

If its just you and your friend, you better be a hell of a coder cuz like stoi said....vanilla trackers have more holes than swiss cheese.

I would definitely join/help out. I would rather have tv shows than movies though personally, just because I prefer to watch movie at home on a large screen.

Plus I've got some spare cpu cycles to do some encoding with..

Edit: Oh yes, and iPod touch video is a must!

There might be a mobile tracker already, but it might not exist anymore.

Either way i have i think a gig or two of mobile stuff. like 3000 game packs, apps. Id upload it.

ok we will be posting a temporary sign up page here within a couple of days. It will give you updates on the site and allow you to be the first ones to use it. (when it becomes available...give it 3-5 weeks).

A couple of days? Seems like you have only been working on this for less than a week.. If you actually a good coder and want this site to succeed, you are going to spend a lot more time on the coding. You cant just use the source you downloaded from the net, edit it a little and add a design on top - By the time you are finished modyfying the code, it should be so different that you cant even recognize it from the original source. Dont go rushing into things, have a smooth opening for a new site and not something that is half done with errors, unfinished design etc.

Better yet, right your own site code! It will solve all security problems :)
