I just use rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip. There's probably a better way to do it but Q-tips are just so convenient :D
i use rubbing alcohol with coffee filters. works great. recommended
99% Isopropyl alcohol & Q-tips. 99% = faster evaporation.
pure Vodka.
I use Arctic Silver's ArctiCleaner kit- cleaner and surface prep in two bottles.
Prior to that I used acetone followed by isopropyl alcohol.
Of Course YOU do, you have every gadget and neat little tool for 5hit like this they make right?
He is prob te best we have here @ FST and certainly the most dedicated to specs, but god help you if you don't have a screenshot :P Honestly I wonder how many members he has helped in his time here? Not to mention on JG forums and whatever uber-nerd forums he is a member of. I want to be Clocker when I grow up
Clocker would then become GrandClocker I think
i always use acetone for cleaning my thermal paste.
my girl has some parfumed one, so my chips are always nice and smelly ! :P
be careful though when applying artic silver, cuz it can damage some chips if it can produce a conductive circuit. I damaged a old radeon 9800pro like that, cuz i was too messy and lazy to clean the thermal paste surplus around the core.
I clean it only with a rag.
