Bye Bye - hope you can cope with the jail time.
well i do have a static ip and i wasn't using a proxy either. so does that mean that i might be getting a letter in the mail from my isp telling me something about it?
just another song < i got those too. Dwnload from one sourse see if that helps
Yeah but what i download seemed to be a riaa or some kind of company ip addres. i did a whois on it and it came back from some kind of service that was on the peerguardian ip block list. but the thing i forgot to was not have it turned on
run away to mexico while you still can
there's no hope for you now...
Yeh, that tone you heard is this new technology RIAA uses to scan your IP once you have downloaded the song. Oooops, you are busted now.Quote:

it's supposed to be a secret, however, there were a chosen few who were told about the sacred net...
keep it quiet though :P
So mainly that if anyone downloads a file that is corrupt or hearing a weird sound it means that its the riaa???
Only mp3's.Quote:

you should get Soulseek and calm down a little...
oh i know dude, its all that stuff that riaa is making people insane. i don't use kazaa that much except for like a song here and there but the security of just being able to browse your computer or do anything anymore is getting to be hecktic.
static ip address means your ip address never changes so if it was the riaa u can probably expect some sort of letter or action from them, given the amount of media hype going onQuote:

PS thank god im in new zealand..out of reach for the time being
so if someone had a dynamic ip it would be undetected cause the ip would change to the next person that uses it on my network??
why is it I see about 10 posts per day litertly on this???
for f8ck sake I have no dypothy for you yoou got it off kazaa!!!!
Use soulseek you NOOB :P

If you PM me your email address, I'll be glad to send you an email from [email protected] as a way of proving to you how much of this is actually not from the RIAA.
THE FILE SHARING MANIFESTO
So now the music industry greedheads want to play rough. What’s the matter, their coke dealer won’t front anymore? Those techno-ghouls have been living high on the hog for the past 100 years and now they’re upset because the river of gold is down 10%. If they want to play rough, so can we. The only reason they can afford to pay their lawyers is because we all still buy CDs.
There is only one proper response to the file sharing attack – a complete and total boycott of all new recorded music purchases. Imagine if you got a summons in the mail. We must support our file sharing brothers and sisters. I SAY NO PURCHASES OF ANY NEW CDS OR DOWNLOADS UNTIL THEY CHANGE THE LAW ON FILE SHARING!! If you want music go to a show, or buy or trade used CDs.
Copy this and spread the word!
That's not the best idea I've ever heard...Quote:
