Can we await the poll result before the pyromaniac, necrophiliac buggery begins.
BTW I'm not taking crispy seconds.
my brother's a student (actually so am i) - i'll say we are parasites
we couldn't be lazy useless bar stewards because noone would give us jobs
Necessary to keep lecturers in a job!
i used to work in a pub as the chefs scapegoat
Hope he wasn't into bestiality!
i resent the second one...Im a student on summer holiday (about halfway through now...had 2 1/2 months, 2 to go) and i wanted a job over the summer; but no-one would have me :( i even got out of bed one day to look!! <_<
THey're all lazy so-and-sos!!! :P
Especially ones who are to study at Strathclyde Uni........ :D
I meant University Students.
Not Poly students.
for once being a strathy uni student actually saves me...:PQuote:

a mod! quick get back to your seats
All of the above.
Sorry JP I disagree about Poly students. From August to Christmas they are exactly the same. Then the majority of them disappear either because they have got the full grant or the program starts to get a wee bit harder. Like computer students who get introduced to programming and the following week the class has halved in size.
i would agree with balamm, it depends on the individual student. and Strathclyde Uni is one of the best in Scotland, but it really depends for what degree it is.

well, i'm doing chemistry at strathy, however, if the Poly status gets me out of being called a lazy parasite, or whatever, i'm not gonna argue...:PQuote:

did u ever get that guy doing physical chemistry, with the zig-zag jumpers. he was soooooo boring, people used to sneak out every time he turned his back, from room R667.

that guy is sooo boring.
i mean physical chem isn't exactly the most exciting subject, but come on...
he also sounds like wallace from wallace and gromit a little
p.s. does that mean you've done chem at strathy then?
yup.
i was thinking about doing chem engineering, but apparently there's a lot more maths involved
as maths isn't exactly my strongest subject, i decided against...
Surely Whewhell isn't his real name! If so why have the Mods allowed it to be printed in this Forum? Isn't there legal problems here?
i hadn't thought of that, but that is his real nameQuote:

i'm trying to make a new one for my avatar, but it's quite a pain getting it down to acceptable size :(
Does this cover college students too, or is it just uni? I'm goin into 6th form for me a-levels which involves me getting up evry mornin, goin to college for the day and then work at night. Would that still clasify me as lazy?
No BO I dont think this applies to hard working students. Most hard working students get pissed off with the disruptive element who do not or will not work toward academic achievement, yet for some mysterious reason some of them do achieve awards. I know when I got my Diploma I could have thrown it in the river because I knew people who got the same award and were incapable of living up to the qualification. I suppose thats life! But when they get a job and are found out and you attempt to get that job you are classed as the same as them if you are from have the same award from the same College/Uni. There thats off my chest now.
