Are FTN invites open? Or have they been closed?
If i am being offered an FTN invite in trade for seedbox access, am i being scammed? I heard they are open, also heard they are not.

It used to be that.
PU's used to get invites.
You got PU once you hit 200 gigs and had been a member for a while.
Now all invites have been removed...

Yep, invites are not currently being given out but it is possible the person was assuming invites would be re-enabled soon and thinking of giving you an invite after getting 200gb uploaded...however I personally detest trading/selling invites in any way. That is a big reason why FTN currently has invites disabled. Invites should only be freely given to people you know and trust IMHO.

Yeah.. They aren't disabled, The staff can handle them. They just don't give them.
Just gives you another reason not to trade. It's kind of hard to get scammed if you don't trade.
Staff only can invite people and I suppose a select few can request invites from staff (to be approved of course).

The invite requirments on FTN are being discussed and it's quite possible that in future that the requirments will change and it won't be 200gb any more.
No one knows when invites will be re-instated. It could be days/months or never...... who knows.

FTN invites are closed and the only person that could invite you is Brandon.
Maybe the person you were thinking of trading with is just unaware he can't get invites.
