We hope to rise from the ashes like a fiery phoenix some day in the future but for the time being our run of free hosting has come to an end. Indietorrents was my favorite music source at the moment, and it always has been except for when OiNK was around. This is really disappointing. :(

That's a really weird way to shut down, without any warning or anything. I'm kind suspicious about it, knowing Indietorrents. If it turns out to be true, you guys should find solace in that alot of the uploads are upped on STMusic first, so you're not losing as much as you may think.

There's a good chance they'll be coming back. The admin just stated they have received more than enough money, and will try to make the downtime as short as possible.
So that's a little hope.

Yea, this was one of the very few sites I still wanted to get into, I hope that those sweet donations that the members gave will keep it open!
Great site. Cool knowledgeable music-obsessed people, helpful staff, and of course great music, lots of indie, obscure and/or experimental stuff. Though I got most my music on Oink (and now Waffles/What) I've discovered great stuff on IT that wasn't prominently featured elsewhere. I'll miss it if it goes, or I'll be happy to hear if they are no longer closing down. IT - MUCH RESPECT!

i've donated and bought 2 of their t-shirts; completely revolutionized my tastes in music.
^You're lucky. I kept telling myself I'll get a t-shirt soon(expecting them to be around forever), and I never got one. I'm going to have to get me one when they come back up. Hopefully they actually will.
